I would welcome a 24K2, a new album of new material, or an album of covers duets. But I do not expect any of it. I wish she would record rather than tour the US endlessly bellowing the same old setlist. The recordings seal your legacy. Concerts don't.

If she's not going to record again, can she at least bring her tour to Australia? But she says she has recorded new songs (though not enough for an album, that we know of) and I for one would like to hear them. The Vampire's Wife could be a great song. It could also be trash, but I'll wait until I hear it to decide.

I bet the farm that an album is coming this year...or at the least a new song that she'll actually play on stage unlike Show Them The Way, and then an album in early 2025. I think the time has passed on another Songs From The Vault. She had so much time to record that after the Fleetwood Mac tour ended in November 2015 and her solo tour started in October 2016. Then she had December 18 2016 to February 23, 2017 off. April 6, 2017 to July 15, 2017 off. So we really should have had a Songs From the Vault album at the latest end of 2017. I think Stevie was worried about album sales. Given she's saying she's been writing her best songs lately, I think she's now confident that her newly written songs will resonate and sell. But you're right, in what I take to mean that these setlists are really a middle finger to her diehard fans. |

I'm so glad that an album from Harry Styles that came out 5+ years ago has sparked her inspiration....too bad the return of her "best friend in the whole world" to Fleetwood Mac couldn't of had the same affect. I thought albums weren't worth doing because they didn't sell enough copies? What a f*cking hypocrite. I'd rather spend $14.99 at the dentist office.

I mean if Stevie says so, it has to be true!

I'd give $14.99 to have a permanent lie detector attached to her, and see the thing constantly blowing up.
But, I think she's George Costanza. "It's not a lie, if you believe it, Jerry".

Well she has not been the only one who has stated that has written her/his best songs lately. It's obvious they say that while promoting a new album. Saying they have just written good enough songs wouldn't make sense.
But of course, they usually said that when they're actually making and releasing a new album.

We have to think about her differently from the past. She’s really no longer a songwriter, per se, or a record maker. She’s much more like a theme park — you visit her at Viejas Arena or wherever, once a year, and she delivers the same ride. You like it because of its familiarity. You don’t want the Matterhorn to be a different experience — you want it to be the same experience. And the fact that she can fill a big hall still means she’s an E ticket. In a basic, bored way, I have to hand it to her. But my only interaction with her is what I read on this forum or Instagram. She’s just sort of … there. I look at the Instagram accounts of her current tour and then I bring up the Rhino website to see whether something really good is on the books for her, like a concert from 40 years ago.

No, I didn't mean that. My point was that it's a typical phrase I heard from many stars "I've been writing my best songs lately", "this last album is the best I've ever recorded", "these are my best songs ever", etc. A cheap resource to catch attention and motivate sales, but common in artists who are focus in market. I don't say every artist say that, but I have heard that lot of times. Few times it becomes true. So I'm not surprised Stevie has said that.

Yes, that talentless, awful man, who turned her plodding piano demos into actual songs they could sell to the masses. What a cretin.
