Why he's playing second fiddle to a guy whose only national experience consists of 144 days in the Senate is beyond me.

Also, a major difference between Palin and Obama is that she has as much Executive experience as Obama has Legislative experience. Obama has never run anything for ANY length of time. As a governor, you run a state. As a senator, you run your own office and that's it. The two kinds of experience are worlds apart.
you are always saying what I am thinking. I know here I will be in the minority, but I quite like her. I am a big fan of birth control so I don't argue with her there. And the guns, shes a cool chic.

There's a difference between the concept of birth control and the banning of abortion even in cases of rape & incest (which Palin enthusiastically supports).

If you're cool with that, then, okay. But lets not equate prophylactic birth control with faith-based government ordained bodily control.

Didn't you also just slam my wife for not being into lesbianism? You did. Who is being emotional here and twisting things? I just said what I did about Samantha because I thought you might find it interesting. Apparently, all you find interesting are slogans for "hope & change" as long as someone else foots the bill. LOL!
No on all counts.

It's perjury, Einstein. Don't get pissy with me because you can't hold your own in a debate.

Apparently you and I are some kind of lesbain amalgamation that believes in slogans of hope and change and something else about "purjury."
I'll leave the condolences comment open to interpretation.

We appreciate the boisterous debates that have been conducted in this forum, especially in political threads like this one. This kind of exchange is often informative, entertaining and cathartic, especially during a hard fought election year like this one.

Recently though there have been some personal attacks launched that have nothing to do with the subject matter at hand. Furthermore, they are insulting at large, offending people who are not even involved in the discussion. These type of attacks will not be tolerated. They have resulted in a temporary ban. It's important to note that the passionate debate is welcome here. The personal namecalling is not.

Enough said. Can we get back on topic of Sarah Palin now? This chick has some icky politics. And I'm disturbed about the story of her getting on a plane to Alaska after her water broke.
Things aren't looking so good for the Repubs and their convention right now.
And Strandie, you have been scarce since this whole Gustav thing started. Is the family okay?

What icky politics?

I need to do some research on her.

Well if she does end up President..which if they win is a good possiblity given McCain's age and health history it is almost certain Roe vs Wade wold be overturned and all the efforts local law enforcement agencies like the Oakland PD out here have done to curtail rampant gun ownership in the community will likely be undone and that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are reasons why the far religious right are dancing in the streets over her .Hasn't eight years of religiously peoccupied neo-cons been enough?

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/...ter/index.html

Teen daughter of GOP VP pick is pregnant

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (CNN) -- Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin, is pregnant and will keep the baby and marry the father, a senior aide to Sen. John McCain confirmed to CNN Tuesday.

Republican presidential candidate McCain was aware of Bristol Palin's pregnancy before he chose her mother for his running mate, the aide said.

"Senator McCain knew this and felt in no way did it disqualify her from being vice president," said the aide. "Families have difficulties sometimes, and lucky for her she has a supportive family."

The 17-year-old, a senior in high school, is about five months along, in her second trimester, according to the aide.

The aide said it was decided the campaign would reveal this information now because of rampant Internet rumors that Sarah Palin's 4-month-old baby, who has Down syndrome, was actually Bristol's.

"In the course of correcting that, we needed to get the truth out," said the McCain aide.

Sarah and Todd Palin issued a statement saying they are "proud of Bristol's decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents."

"We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us," the statement said. "Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned."

"Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family," the statement said.

The Palins also asked the media to respect their daughter's privacy.

The McCain aide insisted a key point to keep in mind is that Bristol decided to keep the baby, a decision "supported by her parents."
