We got this info from management.... no plans to tour overseas 'at the moment'.

OK, I can't take this anymore. This last statement made an alarm bell go off in my head. I'm tired of sitting on my a@@ and just reading about this and feeling sympathetic, but not doing anything. Being that I am not a card-carrying (or receipt carrying, as it were) member of the fan cub and was not ripped off and wasn't banned because I didn't post on Micks chat, I'm not in a position to really do anything. But reading all these things on the ledge and what I have observed from lurking over there have made me really bitter, and as a true fan, insulted . I hate seeing my fellow fans and friends treated like this.
I want to believe the band is oblivious and that's why JT is not in jail. But at the same time I want them to find out and fire his a@@.
So my question is, What the heck can I do?
The only thing I've done so far is give my brother my extra ticket to the concert for free on the condition that he wears a homemade t-shirt that says SAY YOU WILL FIRE JOHNATHAN TODD on the back and front, and I'll probably make a sign that says that too.
But seriously, what can I as an upset-but-not-really-ripped-off fan do? Any suggestions?

Sonia, thank you for caring. A lot of people who weren't in the fan club are supportive like you. You fans are da bomb! I know a lot of people made calls and wrote letters asking band members and their management to address the fan club mess. To my knowledge, nobody has received a reply or response. I know band members are insulated by their people right now. They have little time for anything outside of the tour/rehearsals, etc. That doesn't mean people surrounding them can't look into things and at least acknowledge there's a problem if they've been notified. Everybody wants to ignore the issue in hopes that it goes away.

The only official response I know of was from the California Attorney General. Complaints filed with the CAG Internet site were noted. They even sent out a letter to everyone who contacted them saying they appreciate hearing from the public about any business run it the state of CA. They said they will investigate any accusations of fraud or misleading advertising if enough complaints are filed against a particular business. You don't have to be the one ripped off to complain. You just have to go to their website and file a complaint saying you believe a business is engaged in making false or misleading claims and you want them to investigate. The information you need to give them on the complaint form was posted by someone in another thread. I'll try to find it and put it here so you can go to the website and fill in the form. That would be a great show of support for the cause. The CAG sent out letters saying they started a file on the business that runs the fan club. According to the letter, the more complaints that are filed, the more emphasis and resources will be placed on investigating the fan club. You could also write band management. As I said, nobody else who's written them has gotten a respose, but at least they can't say they never heard anything about the situation.

Thanks again for your support. Hey, I love the T-shirt and sign idea. If I decide to break down and go to a show, despite my disappointment with the band over this fan club and merchandising mess, can I borrow your logo for a shirt of my own?

I found the old thread with info about making a complaint to the CAG, but the link doesn't work. Here is one that does. You can use the information in the other thread to fill in the complaint form you'll find here:

http://www.caag.state.ca.us/consumers/mailform.htm

This is the information you need to fill in the form:

CO. DIRECTOR: JONATHAN TODD
CO: SABRE MARK INC., FLEETWOOD MAC FAN CLUB
CO. ADDRESS: 5737 KANAN RD. SUITE 237
CO. CITY; AGOURA HILLS
CO. STATE: CA
CO. ZIP: 91301
CO. PHONE: 818-865-9993

http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...5&pagenumber=2

Here's the link to that old thread. I also bumped it to the top so you'd be able to see it there too. It's called: Fire Jonathan Todd T-shirts. Somebody else also thought of the T-shirt thing!

But, the real telling thing is gonna be what is finally done because I hope that we don't find out that the former agents are as good as they are for Tom because of Tom. He could be the key here. Tom does live in the real world, you know? I hope that they all step up. I really do. I want my faith restored.
You're right. TP watches out for his fans. His last tour? 65 bucks a ticket and completely sold out. Loyalty works both ways.

That is too true. If I were a big person, I would hope that my management worked FOR ME. And, I would hope that they would run my official endeavors JUST LIKE I WOULD. And, if they did not, I would FIRE them. End of story.

Now that I know for sure that Jonathan Todd is behind the tour merchandise, I am losing more and more respect for the bands management and it will translate to the band because, they have known for some time what is going down with the fan club and to allow him to continue to screw the fans and mess with us is immoral to say the least.

Fanfire links back to the official fleetwood mac site...so, there you go.

*bumping back to first page*

The latest fan club email's selling tactic for the members only t-shirts is that you can spot other fan club members at the shows if they are wearing an official fan club t-shirt.

Gosh, I've NO problem meeting up with anyone I've wanted to meet at the shows via emails, phone calls, and planning. And who says fan club members can't buy as many friggin' t-shirts as they want to give to non-fan club members??

The members only section has been slightly re-done. Of course, the FIRST thing they've added is the merch link. Everything else still says "coming soon." However, some video footage is supposed to be up before tomorrow.

There's some "video footage" up now, if you can call it that. Some short (10 seconds or less), choppy, out-of-focus clips, mostly of Mick and John, on the airplane and milling around backstage for the Today Show and Leno. How long ago were those shows? The Today Show site had full-length clips of all four songs they did on that show within hours of the broadcast. For free!

Oh, and there are are also five pics from the Columbus show. Really lame pics. Worse than just about anything I've seen posted, for free!, on fan boards.

I'm hoping they just loaded some poor 8th grader's visual arts project up on the fan club by mistake. What happened to the real stuff?

God, he just frigging infuriates me with the way that he is treating the fans...

Someone that I know placed an order on the fansite from the merch store and the invoice came and it said it was from FanFire...so there you go. He has his rotted hands in everything with no conscience as far as I can see.

HEY, MANAGEMENT, FIRE HIM. WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

Thumbs up There's nothing I love more than Toddisms!

Mr. Todd has come up with a brilliant idea on how we can locate fellow fans/club members!!!! (since he banned so many of them from the Mick board)

Just BUY one of the official FAN CLUB MEMBERS ONLY shirts!

For just a little bit MORE of your MONEY, you'll get the shirt . . . probably by March 2004! Didn't we already give you money? Geeze. What are you doing with it? You're worse than a parking meter!

Oh well. Thank you to the Toddster, the Toddarama, the Boss with the Sauce for trying to come up with a way to "keep us together." Keep on running in the shadows.

Lousy pics? From a distance? Sounds like those 5 or 6 quality type pics he had before. Okay, let's just give him time. He is working 24/7. (He's the hardest working man in the band!)

It's on the VBOFM site in the members only area under "private plane video" or something like that. He's sitting with Mick and at the end there's this Hitchcock-ian cameo. Go check it out.

Do I understand this correctly?
We should buy the T-shirt to recognize other fans?

It's the long-awaited meet-and-greet.
We get to pay extra to meet and greet...each other!!!
What a service to us!

How much is the T-shirt? It should say on the front "What's My Money Going To? Tour 2003" and then on the back "All Alone, we Suffer, Please don't Steal our Dough Away".

I think we should have to pay extra extra extra to wear the black shirt WITH Egyptian jewelry. After all, this is a luxury that the fan club will offer only to the true fan. If only I hadn't sunk my last few confederate dollars into the Brooklyn Bridge last week!
