Well, yeah, I didn't hear exactly WHY she was homeless--my attention must have wandered if they said what happened. Did they give a reason? I guess I figure it can happen for all kinds of reasons and gave her the benefit of the doubt. Regardless, I liked the tone of her voice and thought she performed well. I also liked the guy with the bald head and adopted kids. His wife was ridiculous with all her crying though.
At this early stage I like to try to pick out who I think will make it to the top 12. I don't think the homeless girl will, but that guy might. I HOPE the little cowboy doesn't, just because I don't know that he'd be able to perform well. I remember how embarrassed I was for John Stevens--(the redheaded oldies guy from season 3). Poor thing was just awful and people kept voting for him for some reason. By the end he looked like he was pleading for people to put him out of his misery.

No, the one who claimed that she was just evicted, and was about to be evicted again. Looked to be dressed & fed pretty well for being homeless.

I don't remember her name, but I think she was the one whose family wore t-shirts that spelled out her name (which was totally stupid, btw).

Damn, I don't remember her at all. I was making dinner at the time so I missed a bit of it. You know, I'm kind of surprised Simon didn't vote for the bald rocker with the ball bag wife. He was better than some of those jerk-offs he was voting for.

Pffft, he was boring & lame. Typical of the schlubs who think that singing a song as generically as possible and without a hint of originality is going to get them props. I wanted his ass to be sent back home. At least the Bjork girl was entertaining and could sing a little.

I guess the competition up to that point was just so horrendous that that guy stood out as someone who could at least sing, even if it was generic. I think if he lost some of the vocal posturing he could be even better. Now every rocker wannabe is going to try to be the next Bo.

Speaking of Bjork girl, "It's Oh So Quiet" is one of my husband's favorite songs so he was all into it of course and I'm sitting there going, "she ain't no Bjork that's for sure." But you're right, at least she had the balls to try something different.

BO SUCKS. That is all. The Entertainment Weekly review of his album was ****ing priceless and summed his dumb ass up perfectly.

I thought she was very refreshing. It's so dull to hear all of those voices that sound exactly alike & sterile of any emotion. That chick was having a blast and you could tell. Loved her!

Well I know who YOU'LL be pulling for

Seriously though, I haven't yet come across someone who I am totally into. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

They hardly ever show the really good ones during this phase. When they do show them, you are like, "Damn. Where did they come from?"

She had an amazing voice! My question is how could she have been homeless when she had like 50 family members there supporting her? She couldn't stay with one of them after she got evicted? Sounds strange.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the 16 yr old girl who had the most incredible voice! She blew me away and is my favorite so far.

I work with homeless people and 100% of the time, the people I work with have lost everything to drugs or alcohol. That girl had a whole ****load of people supporting her and she's homeless? You have to not pay your rent for a while to be evicted. And evicted twice? Eh. Sorry- I don't buy it.

Yeah, I remember her, and that story seemed to be a bit fishy.
