I say, when it comes to guitardiscussions, Lindsey's arrogance does not come near to yours.

He's a very enigmatic chap these days. You might get the odd post if he wanders over here, such is life for the busy dude.

You do have a valid point there G. It shouldn't be that the musicians of the board sit up on a "Ledge" and look down on the rest of the communities opinions with little consideration on this matter. Everybody gets emotions from music, some influences and some emotional triggers are just different from individual to individual. Mine happen to be based mostly in the British Blues era of Green, Clapton and John Mayall with a sprinkling of Knopfler and Gilmour thrown in.

I still must say though that your remark about Eric and Knopfler is total and utter bollocks.

Jeepers Lads, You have let this topic go right out of control altogether. Great work. I log off at work come home get something to eat, play a few chords, log back on and theres 50 new posts to read....whos fault is this im raging.

Anyway ive a lot of catching up to do. MadforMac, Tom banks, chilliD, and shackin up really went for it there.

This is a musically minded topic--- do you play guitar shackin up ?????

I have a reply to this, eliza. But I have to figure out how to say it.
It's an agreement in principle but also a clarification of principle.

I actually have three very good reasons why Lindsey's work has been great, and even ChilD must agree with this one....

Chili's Model 1-C Junior, Madness Fade's Model 1-C Studio Special and my Model 1-C-P.

If Lindsey hadn't brought this guitar to my attention I would have missed quite a versatile instrument.

It's good and healthy when all the musicians talk about there influences/styles/playing etc. Even if you do disagree with quite a few people you probably learn more from them than you would with a bunch of guy agreeing on everything.

BTW, I think he would have been suited to continue with a backup band, as he had in Buckingham Nicks, too. When Lindsey talks about loving Django Reinhardt (oh wait, has he talked about that, or just named a song "Django"?) or the Kingston Trio, or Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys, I believe him, and of course I wouldn't deny that some of those musicans were innovative, though not radical.

Ok, I am interested to hear what you say, of course.

Has anyone noticed that these "Unpopular beliefs" contain popular"Unpopular Beliefs"?
