33 years ago today, November 10, 1979 is when I saw Fleetwood Mac in concert for the first time at the New Haven Coliseum. My seats sucked. I had to stand on my chair the whole time and still couldn't see much.

THANK YOU. Yes, a meal is to be enjoyed, not interrupted! A quick "hi" is acceptable, but not a conversation, nor a handshake. Especially a conversation long enough, that my food is getting cold. I don't think some people understand that it's bad manners, doing the above.

My retail job is one of those that is opening Thanksgiving night. I told the boss I'd rather not work that night, though I can work like a 12 hrs shift on Friday. Oh joy...

I'm sure they'll make you work it anyway. Any business that is open on a Holiday requires ALL employees to work at least a four hour shift.

Very well possible, though everybody else has said they don't care what they work. So if enough work on Thanksgiving night, I would hope I'd be clear for Friday. Althought they are paying time and a half for that night, so it wouldn't be all that bad.

For most everybody else, this job is their only job. For me, it just something extra to help me maintain my car payment/insurance.

I never liked retail work because of those strange hours,But these days alot of us don't have a choice .We got to take what we get.

Meantime .What beautiful weather we are having up here in New England after those two horrible weeks of storms.Between yesterday and today I double the length of my exercise walks which I really need to keep busy.

I hope you don't quit the job over this. Thanksgivings will come and they will go. When you're short on money, you will know. Oh, you will know.

Actually last month I did put in my two-week notice, cause I was going to get my full-time 40hrs status back at my primary job. Then the boss "resigned" and the interim manager gleefully informed me that I won't be getting my full-time back.

Of course now the joke is on them, come March 2013 we are doing a complete transfer of management!

Love the "Dreams" line by the way...

This is kinda strange: My boyfriend is a firefighter and whenever his pager gets close to my computer it makes a white noise, or just goes off. Does anyone know why this is? My computer is the only one that sets it off. I hope I'm not getting cancer, but I mean unless I grow a fifth limb from radiation or something I'm not gonna worry about it. Just wish I knew what was going on. lol

It sounds like Something has poor shielding for interference .More likely the pager is a receiver means that the computer is causing it to go off.It could be the monitor or the computer box{tower}. If its a Imac .I'm shocked. I know if I listen to the news on my AM radio in the same room as this computer is in .I will get noise galore. The pager could be lacking some shielding inside around the receiver circuit in the pager.

Shielding is a piece of metal or foil which is grounded to the negative of the power source.

Most electronic device has to go through UL Lab testing for hazards like TV,computers, microwave ovens and anything that runs on house current.

Also The FCC will have electronic products tested for interference to radio waves.

In Canada The CSA which is the equiv to the US UL labs.

Default In need of a new camcorder.

Hi All.I'm in need for a new camcorder.I have a Sony 2005 dcr- hc32 DV camcorder which has been a lemon with its viewfinder flexible wire breaking.I'm had replaced the flexwire between the camcorder and the the color foldout viewfinder about 3 times and now its acting up again.

I would love to get a pro model in the $1500 to 2500 plus price range but I have to settle for a cheaper one for $300 price range.

I already looked at the Canon Vixia hf r300 which looks crisp but the battery only runs about 25 minutes and Canon wants about $100 bucks for the hi power battery.
I want to check out the Panasonic,JVC and Samsung models in the same price range.

I really dont want another Sony probably because of that problem but that little DV camera did put out good picture also great on batteries.

Maybe they ironed out they flexwire problems on their newer models.

Ok what do you guys use or recommend to get.

I'm doing sound today, for pretty much my 2nd favorite artist of all time(well, my favorite artist of the past decade!), David Nail. He's considered country, but he's really not. More of a pop singer, with an incredibly soulful, sad voice.
I'm so excited!!! I just had him sign my acoustic guitar.
The next 9 hours will be awesome!!!!!
