Check out this piece of VERY exciting news from Nickslive!
http://nickslive.blogspot.co.uk/2012...twood-mac.html I would take this with the proverbial bucket of salt if she hadn't said the part about rehearsals starting in January. Now I am only taking it with a pinch. Yes!!

Honestly, Im a little disapointed in a 2013 tour, I mean, at this point, what exactly are FM going to offer?
I mean, I love the band, but what? Ill pay $150 for one ticket to see the same set list from 10 years ago, and maybe they throw in 1 classic song I mean, there are so many more possibilities, studio album, BN, SOLO, FM tour, what exactly is the marketing approach going to be? just doesnt sound that appealing at this point |

We'll read all the fans say it was worth the price of admission just to hear Sister's of the Moon or That's Alright.

Speaking as someone who has only seen them live once, I'll gladly go and see them again. I do understand why people may be disappointed but come on, we'll all end up loving it!
Ideally this will be to support a new album but that's highly unlikely. Oh well, I'll still be going!

Just as I did with the "unleashed " tour I will sit this one out.Tours that are done for no purpose whatsoever than to fleece fans out of $ hold no appeal to me.

That's funny that you would say that because I just posted on a Stevie thread about why she will never do SOTM again. I mean really she doesn't have the voice for it anymore. But I did suggest that she could do a piano version of it like she did with Rhiannon for the Enchanted box. I mean for a future record not for a tour with FM. Your idea about That's Alright is interesting. I wonder why they never did that song in concert. |

I first saw them when I was 14. I think I prefer to remember them like that, now...
Christine... No orchestra.... Just Ray adding some acoustic. The way music was MEANT to be. REAL. The music business blows goats now. ![]()

Much like the Lindsey Buckingham show I saw this week, it all depends on the set list. I could see myself paying top dollar to see them again if they sprinkle enough of my favorites in there.

Oh, I knew Mick's little Playboy move would pin her down. If those boys press her hard enough, there's little she won't do.
If rehearsals are really in January, we won't be getting any new music, which is a bummer. But this might be the last time to see these old fogies. Michele |

Depending on where they play, the cost and what else I've got going on at the time I'll probably go. I'd like to see them again. It's a pain if there's no new music and I'd much rather have 40-60minutes of new music to last a lifetime instead of 120-150minutes of old songs that lasts an evening.
I'm not really sure what the point in touring again is. Maybe they'll release BN with a lot of bonus tracks just before the tour (yeah, right...) |

If they are not touring behind an album it is purely mercenary.Remember Mick's playboy interview? He needs $$$$$.

I just got the highlights that he was taking a dig at Stevie for holding them up or something along those lines. |

I'm glad they are at least planning on touring - sure better that FM doing nothing!
![]() Hopefully we get something a tad different from the 2009 tour. |

I agree a new album would be great, or at least better than only a tour. But I also think the days where a tour supported an album are over (specially for old bands). Nowadays it's viceverse, or albums are even not needed. Tours are more profitable than CDs, iTunes, or any kind of media. With all the piracy and ways to copy music, albums are not a good business, and let's face it, this is a matter of business, specially nowadays.
Quote:
See the sports, the wealthy sportmen who earn millions for be in a soccer club, not mentioning the tv spots (Gillette, Nike). Same as movies, the movie stars earn millions for playing the Joker or appear in underpants in a giant ad in Times Square. Should we hate Jack Nicholson, Mark Whalberg, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tiger Woods, Diego Maradona, Jaclyn Smith, etc... etc...? And I'm not sure Mick is the only one who do this for money. Do the others tour just for fun or art's sake? I don't think so.
