yeah, it was a B-Side to "Gypsy", and was a cover of a folk song by the Sons of the Pioneers. It goes back to Lindsey's roots and what he loves the most!

Wait...based on what I saw in the Tusk doc, wasn't John a deep harmony on Save Me A Place too?

I bet probably someone else knows. Onto the thread!

New statement: The cover on that 2 disc greatest-hits looks way cooler than the one on the single-disc one.

OK, I got one!

New statement: Of all of Stevie's hairstyles, that bun-thing from Sara during the Tusk doc is far and away her most heinous

gonna have to disagree again! I like the Hiroshima hairstyle - when Stevie dyed her hair black/wore a wig during the Timespace era, that was her most heinous.

New Statement: (Lindsey Solo statement, actually) "Slow Dancing" should end a whole lot later, so we can hear more of the guitar work at the end!

I agree. It's nice.

New statement: Fleetwood Mac write all new songs from the ground up for the (theoretical) next album and not bring in any old demos as has been done in the past.

Partly agree. New stuff is great, but sometimes, the oldies that never quite got beyond a demo could be interesting to hear completed too.

New statement: (sorry, more bad hair after the Stevie one) Of all of Lindsey's various hair styles over the years (he's right up there with Roger Daltrey for awesome rocker hair), his Go Insane one is by far the worst

Yeah, it was. Ever see him standing in the back row for We are the World? His hair towers over so many people!

New Statement: SYW offers Stevie's best contribution to any studio Mac record since Tusk.

I kinda disagree, only because of Straight Back.

I also gotta disagree, cause Mirage did have Gypsy, and I do love that song.

New statement: Monday Morning is a fine example where the first song on a first album (in this case of a new era) does a good job of setting up what else is in store.

Disagree - you know, I've only ever enjoyed having "Monday Morning" as the first track three times, and they were all on the same day - at the concert of 15/12/09, and later that night when I played CD1 of TVBOFM twice. Mind, I thought "Monday Morning" would be the perfect concert opener, and it was. (And I was in such a rockin' mood after the concert I loved hearing it as the first track on TVBOFM.) But when it comes to their album and compilations, I don't like it as the first track. I've done lengthy explanations of why in posts of long ago. Needless to say (coming from me), I don't think it's quite like much of their other music, in that it always seems way, way louder than anything else they've done... at least to me. Also, I prefer at least a little instrumentation to open an album. So, no, it says nothing about what else is in store. ("The Chain", however... ) "Over My Head" would've been the better opener imo.
(Phew, that was long! )
Although old hat by now, "The Chain" really is the most suitable opener for any FM compilation.

Agree. The Chain is their signature song and I still think it should have opened Rumours instead of open the second side on vinyl.

New statement: While Gold Dust Woman is a great song, Songbird should have been the closer to Rumours instead of that.
