They've just taken him to the anesthesia ward. They said I probably wouldn't hear anything else until about 4PM. That's five hours from now! They said he's going to be the last surgery patient of the day. THANKS.
David, I'll be thinking of you and Cash today.

Thanks. I sure hope they're able to get all of the cancer. Of course, there are no guarantees. They say microscopic amounts could be elsewhere, unknown the them(and apparently undetectable, at this point). At least they'll be getting this aggressive mass removed.
God I hate being three hours away from this! Although, he has a vet student, Lara, looking after him. She's great, and was loving on him before I left him yesterday afternoon. She's called me twice already, just to keep me updated on him.

Default Homer

I knew there was a patron saint for pets, but I found Saint Roch was specifically for dogs and people who love them. I've said a prayer to him for you and Cash. Also, I found this quote on a web site and I thought it was nice so here it is:

THEY ARE OUR FRIENDS...PARTNERS...
PROTECTORS...EVER-LOYAL...ALL-FORGIVING...
TO THEIR HEARTS' LAST BEAT...
THE LEAST WE OWE THEM IS TO LIVE A LIFE
THAT IS WORTHY OF THEIR DEVOTION

Yes, you and Cash remain in my thoughts and prayers. I am sending thoughts of him having successful surgery from which he emerges healthy and cancer free.

Thanks. OH how I wish the phone would ring! But, they said, "no news, is good news". They just scared me with the warnings that occasionally, patient's sometimes don't come out of anesthesia.
But, he's a strong little dog...and he's been under like 10 times this year, so....
