I just so do not see that connection and that song is failrly well known. Also, she was going to sing it after the Towers fell in a, if you will, Landslide to wit (from www.nicksfix.com)

As I said last night, we didn’t go back to New York. I was very disappointed. I wanted to sing “Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?”, and “Landslide” for New York.

First, I want to be clear that I would not find it inappropriate for her to do Landslide. I'm talking about how I think the average person would respond.

If the show is televised, your average person is only going to hear the word "Landslide" and even if they are familiar with the song, aren't going to think it through like we would.

If she takes some time to preface the song with some words about what it is about, what it means to her, and why she wants to sing it at this benefit, then it will probably go over very well. But,out of context, a song with the title of a natural disaster might not be well received.

It's just my opinion. I think Stevie is lovely for even considering doing this given what's going on in her life. It's not a dig at her, just my thoughts on how people might respond.

Taku's extended family, the Neville Brothers, have made Austin their new, temporary home. Cyril is already performing somewhere this weekend.

If Charmaine performs - RUN do not walk to hear her sing. She is amazing. I used to see her when I was in Law School and my jaw hit the floor everytime.

Here is her site:

Why is everyone thinking she will do 4 or 5 songs. If she even goes, I think she will do a quick number then get outta there. I mean for christs sake she only did one freakin divas show. I dont see her doing more than one.

she did two

Landslide and Ring Around Your Neck, the latter required her to stay for the whole thing. She also stayed for Crowe's CP thingee awhile back, which was way cool because to she La Nicks and Chrissie Hynde on the same stage as Clapton was almost mind blowing.

That little song by elvis was no longer than 50 seconds.

She was essentially just back-up on Landslide. With that sound mix, though, you couldn't even hear the woman.

true - but she did two songs and she stayed, which was in response to you asserting that " think she will do a quick number then get outta there" a la the Diva's show

Its MUCH better on the DVD, which I, as a chiffonhead bought

My biggest complaint was her lighting She looked haggard in that lighting and did not later out of it.
