I'd like to read about the day she decided to marry Kim. And/or the day they got divorced. Her only marriage, her only "child" too......that had to have been pretty major. Did she take care of the baby for months, or longer? Or was there a nanny or a relative of Robin's or Kim's? What it felt like to her to take care of the baby......all that kind of stuff. And I'd love to know what, if any, songs are about Kim, the baby (Michael, is it?), and that whole marriage and time in her life.

Oy, I picture that poor child in lace diapers with a peper flower mobile over the crib. On the other hand, I bet she's one hell of a bedtime storyteller.

The kid (man) is Matthew.

Interesting - I don't remember talk of any lyrics about Kim other than in Gypsy.

I'm actually more interested in hearing about their very next encounter. There had to be tension and embarrassment and then some.

I believe there are two men she's referring to -- the one who wanted her, and the one she wanted to save her from making a mistake. He's in there, IMO.

ahhh yes, but why?? it wasn't as if he had any REASON to be there.. "Stand Back" was done... according to Stevie, he worked on SB with her "and then drove out of her life"... but that isn't exactly accurate (much like everything else she talks about from that time)... so again, why was he there??

I didn't know Gypsy was about him. Anything specific that you've heard? I'd love to hear Stevie talk about that song. I have heard fans say it's about Robin. To me, I always thought it was about Stevie thinking back, to her younger days (not that she was that old then, but you know). About when her family moved around all the time, being a gypsy... And can't see her bright eyes - meaning can't see that inner child of herself anymore, the bright eyes she once had, "I can't find you", etc...... yadda yadda...

But I guess that was just how the song fit for me. That's what's so great about her music - it can be for everyone.

Matthew, that's it. Seems like there'd be songs written about him. A baby who loses his mother....very fairytale-ish in theme. The sad beginning part of a fairytale or something. I wonder if she ever sees Kim anymore, seeings as how we hear every now and then that she sees Matthew and stays in touch.
