Oh, me, I guess, you were calling. Well, I wasn't comparing in the sense that the people were actually slaves, I was saying, it's the new form of keeping labor and resource costs really, really, low, so that the owners of the labor and resources can make ginormous profits, and then disseminate those profits to the politicians who work to implement policies that keep this form of economy that lines the owners pockets thriving. And people continue to work in such jobs and shop at such places because those same policies keep many, many, people generationally poor. Is that better?
But, tosh, I must be on to my sunny bikeride with playing in the playground!

I've been at Myrtle Beach for the past few days. Tyler (my 11 year old step-son) and I drove down with my mother-in-law on Friday afternoon, then my husband drove down after work on Saturday afternoon. We had an excellent time. On Saturday, before my husband got down there, Tyler and I built sand castles and rode the waves. Apparently, he's never done that before; no one has ever let him go that deep into the ocean. We were karate chopping the waves and body slamming them too. We were laughing so hard because my boobs kept coming out of my bathing suit top. I had a string bikini on and that definitely was not conducive to what we were doing. It was killing me, because I really do have a major fear of sharks, so every now and then I'd get panicky, and say that we needed to go back to the beach. Tyler was having so much fun, though- so he would talk me into staying in the water.

On Sunday, I did nothing but sit on my ass on the beach, all day. My husband and Tyler left for a couple of hours to try some fishing at a nearby pier, and I stayed put. I am ridiculously tan and relaxed. HATING to go back to work tomorrow.

Cool!

I have some dark red cherries, frozen, four bags, two jumbo artichokes from Castroville, a bag of crookneck squash, 2 pounds of chinook salmon from Alaska's Copper River, & four two-pound bags of wild blueberries, so I'm gonna go to town!

I have rehearsal this afternoon at 6, unfortunately.

Dammit. It's over. I'm up at 5 am to go back to the hell hole. But, I go to Phoenix in 11 days. So, I just have to suffer 9 days of work, and I'm off for a couple weeks!
