Alot of older Senior Citizens stayed there and they were so cute when they are gambling We felt pretty safe staying there. Vegas was great place to people watch.
oh wow.. i couldn't ever imagine driving there from new york.. as much as i detest flying, it's really the only way to go...

You want to DRIVE - on the STRIP???? - did you see how crazy those people were? No thanks - if I ever go to Vegas again, I'll get around by monorail, bus, wheelchair, if I have to but never car ..... unless it's a limousine and some other poor sod has to deal with the traffic!

Oh well... next time I won't be such a super chicken and will travel alone!

Sorry to have missed you too and everyone else. I met Amber and a guy and his wife from Pullman WA, which is in my neck of the woods, but that's about it. That's why there needs to be a "next time" - so I can try this again.

Laura

Laura,
That had to be me and hubby you met from Pullman, WA. I met a few people at Margaritaville on Tuesday night but didn't remember everyone's names except Jim and Brian since I think I talked to them more than anyone else. Sorry, I can't place you. Are you the woman from Oregon? I am shy too so I just sort of stood in background with my hubby and had a drink. We had relatives to meet later that night so we needed to get back to our hotel and left earlier than other people did. We had just arrived in Vegas about two hours before the meet and greet at Margaritaville on Tuesday so we had dinner there and then went up to the third level for the meet and greet with Ledgie's for about 20 mins or so. I was so tired from the drive so I probably wasn't too sociable

Deb

This was literally a last minute trip for us. By 2pm Monday we were on our way to Vegas so I had about an hour to pack the suitcases and hubby had to get off work that week so he went to work Monday morning. He had surprised me with the tickets so I had no idea that I was going to Vegas last week. I was throwing clothes from the dryer into the suitcases. That is how much of a surprise this trip was for me It was a bigger surprise when some of our relatives called and showed up at the hotel

Hon, I'd watch Lindsey perform on a streetcorner somewhere or in a bloody toilet stall. Doesn't matter where. I'd fly to Crawford, Texas if he were to do a gig there.

I would go again tomorrow to see Stevie! I hope next time I get to meet some of you. I found this place while we were in Vegas and started reading like a maniac. I went to a bunch of SYW shows in 03 and 04 though and saw Stevie twice before so I'm a died-in-the-wool fan I guess. I'd see Lindsey too but I'd jump through fire to see Stevie again.

Nah - craps gives you a better chance than 21. It's all built into the stats.

Yeah but I am a timid person and I was afraid to play blackjack because I would have to interact with a dealer. This way I could just plop down the chips and no more was required of me. It was still humiliating, though. I played evens, then red, and lost both times. When I decided to give up after that, the wheel-guy actually said "Is that it?" The guy next to be laughed. I was so embarrassed.

Vegas sucks! lol

I am right there with ya, man.

Hell, I'd even go up to Stevie's suite at Caesar's to see him perform if I had to.

Fug, the incense and cheap parfum would knock us out before we could hear the first guitar strum.
