I sure hope you don't want Stevie to dress like THAT. Even Tina Turner would have turned her nose up at that thing... and I'm talking back in 1985!

All the faded sexpots, they dress atrociously
D-E-B-B-I-E... she's the worst, you see
With a run in her stockings
And a sagging bust, yes
'Cause dressing ugly is just bad business
Like Madonna writhing 'round in "Borderline"
But our Mo knows not to wear that now....

Blackwell's turning over in his grave... Blackwell's turning over in his grave....

Because we all know Stevie is an upstanding fashionista.

I didn't post them because of the dress, I posted them because you said she was "thick." The dress is just a regular mini, it's the fishnet that I'm not sure about.

She clearly isn't thick, though, and Miss Nicks could try a raw food diet to aid her in reducing the size of that Mack truck she calls her rear end. Or Remifemin.

WOW! Lol

Ummm...I agree Stevie looks much better in the pant and shirt outfits she wears. I dunno how she would twirl in them, then one might get a glimpse of her actually butt, and that can never happen...But I would like to see her perform a whole concert wearing that for once. She could add to those as well... But I really do not care what she wears honestly...I have my opinions, but I think she looks great, even when she looks hefty

You've gone on record as saying that the fella who designs (well, designed) for Debbie should design for Stevie, and I just don't think Debbie has a flattering style for a woman her age.
That dress might not be indicitive of the type of dress you're meaning for Stevie, but, to me, it's indicitive of the types of clothing I usually see Debbie wearing... too young for her age, and/or too tight for her body.

Stevie certainly goes too far in the opposite direction, by covering up too much and trying too hard to conceal things... but Debbie needs to learn that in fashion, less is NOT more. Especially when you're 60+.

Stevie can remain the size she is right now... I don't care what she weighs and never have. I'd be ok with it if she still weighed what she did at her heaviest.

And, diet or no diet, you can't fight body-type... barring cosmetic surgery.
I had a good female friend who could lose enough weight to get her waistline down to a TINY measurement, and she still had extremely wide hips. She hated that, and it frustrated her, but that was her body-type and there was no getting around it.

Stevie's locked into a style that doesn't always do her justice, but I'm still thankful she hasn't gone Debbie's route.

By the way, my "Murrow" parody was in honor of that handsome man in the dark linen suit, Jake.

We miss ya, Jake... come play with us again!

Before he died (I didn't know he had died, I'm shocked), he created some awesome clothes.

But, we will agree to disagree because nothing Stevie wears these days flatters her. She wouldn't know how to dress if her life depended on it. Debbie has had some real clunkers, and many at that, but at least she does something different and doesn't let age get in her way.

It's not what I think Stevie should wear. She couldn't pull it off. But it's nice to know that you have such big problems with people dressing younger than they are. I'd hate to see what you'll be wearing when you reach 60. Hell knows, just because you're old, it doesn't mean you have to look and feel old.

Yes, but I doubt you'd criticize Miss Nicks if she wore something too tight while she was "thick."

We're not talking about hips, we're talking about fashion and fat.

Ah, I forgot. Debbie's a hag, Stevie's a crowned jewel. Debbie's a hag, Stevie's a crowned jewel.

See, I learn fast?

Sorry, but I'll take the adventurous look before I take the grandma look.

See, I think there are many outfits Stevie wears these days that flatter her... it's just that her basic "stage uniform" isn't one of them.

She can be more casual and colorful in her off-stage clothing, but feels she has to stay true to the handkerchef hems and lacey shawls, in order to live up to the public's idea of Stevie Nicks.
Sometimes what she wears on stage does still work... other times it's not as flattering as something else she could have worn instead.
But I disagree that "nothing" she wears flatters her.

Sweetie, if you're still wearing those tight leather pants when you're 60, more power to ya... but don't be surprised if others laugh about it.

I'm not saying someone should dress like Granny Clampett, but micro-mini skirts and fishnet stockings at 60 years old isn't flattering... it's kinda sad.

Tina Turner pulls it off because she has the playfullness and charisma to pull it off, AND because she dances so intensely that she NEEDS to wear shorter skirts. But it should be noted that she doesn't wear minis offstage these days.

There have been times when I've said, "Oh, Stevie... what were you thinking?"
So I don't see your point.

I don't feel that Debbie's a hag... just that her look isn't flattering.
There's adventurous, and there's delusional. You feel Stevie wearing black to appear slimmer is delusional, I think Debbie wearing outfits that Britney Spears would wear, is delusional.
