UGH Day 2 without power!!! They say we're not suppose to get power back til like Thursday...

JTIS...

I noticed that when my iPod is on FM shuffle that "Sara" comes up more times than any song in my collection, including live albums, greatest hits collections, studio albums, re-masters, demos, etc.

Weird.

Where I live we've been without power since Saturday night. No power, no hot water and no heat. Most everyone I know is in the same situation. I am using the computer of one of my work clients. Most of my clients have no pwer. Everyone is bored to tears. I have read and played cards more than ever before and we're supposed to be without power until the weekend. This is wayyyyyyy worse than the dmages caused by the tornado back in June.

Update: My brother's house now has power so my mom and i will be staying with them until our power returns.

My moms house has power....but Ashley's house is still without power...thank god for generators lol

I'm especially glad your house has power because your mom is still recouperating from surgery. We haven't heard any reports from the Connecticut Ledgies. They have it just as bad as we do.

Why does power on the East Coast seem to go out at the drop of a hat? Is it just because they get snow/ice so regularly? I can't tell you the last time we had a power outage that lasted more than 15 seconds. Of course, in Texas it only rains twice a year and if we get 2 inches of show, the entire city shuts down.

I know what you mean. When I lived in Phoenix, Az. I hardly ever lost power but here I seem to lose it for every tom dick and hairy storm that passes through.

On another note I have been thinking about your recent posts about your life and your moments with the boyfriend and it makes me wonder if I am better off alone or not.

I don't think it goes out that often. This was a really bad storm. I'm sure it goes out more often up here because of weather. but I haven't lost power for more than a minute or two in several years.

We had a storm like that back in October 2006 - a huge amount of ice & snow came too early in season & the leaves were still on the trees. More than half the trees in Buffalo cracked/fell/were damaged in some way. Many trees died & had to be cut down - it will take years to recover from that damage. We were without power for almost a week - I feel for you guys. It was a f*cking nightmare.

I had to stand up today on the bus because it was packed, this little kid in a pushchair decided to pull my dress up so the whole bus got a glimpse of my pants. Mortified.

Well, it depends. My bf isn't terrible - he's just needy and I'm probably the most introverted person who ever lived. Plus, I think 75% of my moodiness/depression over the last month or so is because I'm stopping the Zoloft and it's fcking with my head.

Still...if you're single, a relationship is not the answer to all your problems. Relationships are hard - especially for someone like me, who does not like answering to other people or being involved in their problems.
