'24 Karat Gold' on the charts

James89 · #1 10-09-2014, 03:49 PM

I thought I'd start a new thread so we know where to put everything regarding '24 Karat Gold' on the charts. Sales will also be mentioned.

To kick things off, '24 Karat Gold ~ Songs from the Vault' debuts at #5 on the Billboard vinyl albums chart. Not sure if it's on the main Billboard 200 yet based on this and I also don't know about sales.

It's a wonderful album deserving of an audience. I hope In Your Dreams gets a bump too, as it is her masterpiece.

When will we find out where it debuted at?

On the Billboard 200? Well we'll know roughly from Hits Daily Double on Tuesday what position it'll be at but sales differ from HDD to Billboard. So basically we'll know the position on Tuesday.

PDX Charts by Matthew Singer, October 16, 2014

http://www.wweek.com/portland/blog-3...dx_charts.html

Every week, we list the top selling albums from local record stores Music Millennium, Jackpot Records, Everyday Music and Beacon Sound, and the top streamed tracks in Portland on Rhapsody, for the previous week. This week's in-store performances are also listed below.

MUSIC MILLENNIUM

1. Lucinda Williams—Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone
2. Flying Lotus—You're Dead!
3. Weezer—Everything Will Be All Right In the End
4. Caribou—Our Love
5. Stevie Nicks—24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault

James89 · #12 10-17-2014, 06:36 PM

Stevie has debuted on the World Albums Chart at #12 (the same as IYD) with sales of 44,000.

So, now the album has nearly finished its first week on the chart, how do we think it'll do in its second week?

Just to remind everybody, the album started last week at #7 with sales of 33,000. I think it'll be around #25 with sales of around 13,000.

The album is still within the Amazon top 20 chart and I'm sure physical CD sales are doing quite well, so what do you guys think?

At least it seems to be getting good word of mouth.

I think the marketing of 24k and releasing it as Fleetwood Mac hit the road has been excellent...

For sure! The high-profile buzz surrounding Christine's return to Fleetwood Mac and their tour has served as collateral promotion and interest for Stevie's album.

What initially seemed like bad timing between Christine's rejoining the band and Stevie's solo plans has actually become very beneficial to her.
