I'm not terribly keen on the idea of her relying solely on vault songs, either. I think In Your Dreams and most of Say You Will prove Stevie is still a great songwriter in the 21st century. I'd rather hear where Stevie is right now vs her reheating something from her past.

I know I'm the only one who feels this way, but if Stevie were ever to do a themed album, I'd far prefer a full on electronic/trance type work. I think she could pull it off fabulously... her mystical style and unique voice couldn't be any more ideally suited for the genre.

In the end, I think the possibility of Stevie sticking to any one genre for an album is pretty far fetched. All of her solo albums have been potpourris of styles ranging from folk, to country, to rock, electronic, blues, etc. I'm doubting she'd take a musical left turn at this point in her career... but then again if she did, I think we'd welcome it with open arms.
I have to agree about Stevie should be digging into those old tape vaults.

100's of demos in there which we would love to see get recorded.

P.S. I was kidding about Stevie covering Olivia. But it will be different.

You're so right. If Miley Cyrus wanted to do it, that would be one thing. But ONJ?! Why.

I really like that idea. She would excel and blow away people with her talent in that genre.

We saw a photo of Linds and Stevie with her grandfather from up in the
Arizona hill country! They are dressed in western attire and look cute!!!
I forget his name... but her grandpa was a country-western singer !

I like to think Stevie would never consider doing an album of covers/country or even songs of older artists that her mother once loved. Im sure Stevie will stay true to herself & do what she does best which is to'' WRITE HER OWN SONGS" so im sure were going to hear some new/old demos in the mix that will be fabulous & beautiful all from Stevies precious heart, that will be dedicated to her special Mom I imagine her mother would much prefer Stevie write all the lyrics than have cover songs dedicated to her.. imho..

Time for Hee Haw.

I found this on the "In her own words" website.

If they did went the country route I probably would gotten to know and learn more about them then what I know now.
