Well that will just mean they are in the footage with him showing the performers going over their song before they perform it, not necessarily they are connected to Jimmy in some way. I'm still being hopeful it's actually Stevie though.

I don't think I've ever heard the terms 'legend' and 'poet' both attributed to any other female artist besides Stevie..

So, if it's not her, I really wonder who it could be..

Also, Dolly is flawless so maybe her.

Oh come on it's GOT to be Stevie. Poet, legend, Jimmy Iovine, new cd coming out on tuesday, she's said several times that she's a big fan of AI. I would seriously be shocked if it WASN'T her ! I'll keep my fingers crossed, i hope i am right !

This is random, but, does anyone else remeber when she was singing to Jimmy (in the BellaDonna footage from YouTube) and she calls him "miracle"?

Eh as much as I'm hoping and praying that it is Stevie, there's a huge chunk of me saying "of course it's not, this is just wishful thinking".
Maybe when they responded with that "not quite" Tweet or whatever though, it was supposed to be a red herring - they lied because they wanted it to be more of a surprise. Probably not, but who knows.
I've been watching American Idol this season anyhow, so it's not like I'm going to be going out of my way to watch something I normally wouldn't just so I can cross my fingers and hope she's on it.
If it is her, HELL YES. There's going to be a lot of excited squealing and screaming coming from my living room.
If it isn't her - well screw you American Idol Twitter, because that Tweet was just misleading and you got a lot of fans all worked up for nothing. Shame on you guys.
