Default CollegeFootball 2010

I was going to hijack iamnotafraid's bama thread...but that would be wrong...just wrong. Bama and the Tide are Rolling...let them have their own.

As for the "also ran's" --- what games did you watch this weekend?

Last weekend it was -- K-State vs. UCLA (Take THAT Rick Neuheisel!)

This weekend it was Kansas vs. Georgia Tech 28-25
(Yes, there were some stupid moves, but these guys are kids and are supposed to do dumb stuff.)

And I like Turner Gill, but then again, I am bias because I graduated from the University of Nebraska.

I will say that I did spend a few hours in Purgatory, as I watched the CU-Cal game...and I didn't even turn it over...I watched the whole massacre...

What games did you watch?

One of my really good friends goes to UGA and my roommate's boyfriend goes to Carolina, so I REALLY wanted to watch that game this weekend. Life got in the way, though

Hmmmm, I wonder who that really good freind from UGA could be

Anyways, I never understood the fascination with college football (the players are gonna be gone in 4 years, not to mention that the Stony Brook Seawolves are beyond pathetic lol), i'm still gonna root for UGA.

Hahahaha, yeah I like Sara a little tiny bit. You know.

Neither my school nor the school that I spend most of my time at even HAS a football team. I think I've adopted Yale as my team just to cheer them to beating Harvard. Other than that, I go with PENN STATE, my mommy's alma mater.

well for me, there is no NFL teams in our state, so the nebraska cornhuskers are huge to most nebraskans~ i live in omaha & on game day, there is red EVERY WHERE~ it should be criminal how my neighbor decorates his house/yard for a game~ he even puts out **** that lights up~

& also it's awesome to watch the young men develop & see whether or not the have what it takes to play in the NFL~ one of our cornhusker players was 2nd pick in the NFL draft this year, it was a big thing around here~

& on a shallow note, i love watching the cute, cute players~ like alabama used to have a quarterback name john parker wilson, he is dreamy, i never missed a televised game because of him~

My mom went to some CUNY (City University of New York) school, I think it was York College or somehwere else smack dab in the depths of Jamaica, but I'm pretty sure they don't have any teams. Sure, the Seawolves basketball one something, but I'm still shocked the football team is D-1. During my freshman year, the annual game with Hofstra (another LI school that I actually thought of going to, but after I saw that I'd have to drive past Nassau Coliseum every day kinda turned me off ) was broadcasted on MSG, a local sports channel that plays Knicks and Rangers games. SBU was doing so bad that, when I caught the last few minutes, our mascot Wolfie had even left. While we lost badly, the real loss went to Hofstra: this year, they got rid of their football team due to budget constraints.

I understand now, especially if you're somewhere that doesn't have an NFL team, but then again, I was more of one for baseball, the Yankees being my team (I'm from New York, and one thing for sure is that the Mets aren't gonna be any less pathetic in the near future )

Cool Once a Trojan...

ALWAYS a Trojan. I back my USC Trojans no matter what.

My older brother is also on the Nebraska band wagon, but unfortunately he lives in 'Dirtbowl', err Lubbock - Home of Texas Tech who will get smoked this weekend.

One team I will NEVER cheer for, that's easy, The University of Blow-U, Err O-Who...I meant the Boohoo Sooners (Livia, where's that crying O-Who fan picture??? )

Default Akron Zips!

Kentucky takes on the always tough Akron Zips this Saturday. “They know how to run the football,” UK coach Joker Phillips said of the Zips.

Lets hope the Cats aren't looking ahead to the Florida game.

USC at Minnesota Gophers...who you got? USC favored by 12. W hy on earth would a school adopt a nickname like "Gophers". That's like the "Rats" or "Squirrels". Better to be a Trojan.

Not sure if I'd bet that game, but I'm inclined to take Minnesota and the points. They NEED to win after last week, and USC hasn't looked so great so far this year.
