She said it was about a 3 week love affair, not a love affair with her boyfriend of 3 weeks. Although, we'd always been told it was about her first boyfriend (who I guess was Steve) before.

What got me was she was starting to talk about her teacher having left for Spain again (although that subject had been completed) when Chris cut her off. Why'd she revive the topic at that spot? I'm linking the Spain to the love affair and, again, I say: arrest him!

She also said that she put her collection on the ipod and started to describe it as road shows she's been collecting for decades. We need those on our Ipods. Once, because people online praised U2 so much, I bought a whole U2 package from Itunes. It had 400 songs of theirs on it and I downloaded them all at once. That was years ago and I don't think I've listened to 10 of those 400 songs.

But I wish FM would put up an Itunes package of demos and soundboards and such. Wouldn't sell a lot, but it wouldn't cost a lot to make available either.

^ I rewatched & you're right, it was a "3 week long passionate relationship." She seemed to be almost rolling her eyes, as if to say "yeah, right, everything seems passionate at 15." I don't think that the song has anything to do with her teacher though - seemed to me that she was implying that after just those 6 guitar lessons, that she was able to write her first song. Like, "That's all I had were 6 lessons but I learned so fast & I was so innately talented that it's all I needed."

Her mix tapes/CDs she makes for going out on the road? No thanks. Have you seen the list of **** she puts on them?

Stamp that . It's going to be nothing but a bunch of Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Maroon Five. I would rather be deaf than listen to that crap.

Also, does anyone find it peculiar that as much as Stevie reviles the internet and bemoans the tragedy of illegal filesharing, that she has no qualms about filling up iPods with other people's music? I mean, is she actually paying for these songs, or is (Karen) simply transferring the same iTunes playlist a bajillion times to different iPods? Unless she is paying for each and every one of these songs (which I would find hard to believe), isn't she herself contributing to the "death of music?" Or does she somehow think it's okay because they are being given away to wounded heroes? I would love to ask her to explain that!

Oh, no I thought she meant the tapes she makes of her own concerts when she's on the road, not the stuff she listens to on the road. Yeah, I could do without those, although I like Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Maroon 5 well enough, so maybe . . .

But don't Apple and DRRM stop you from doing that? It doesn't let you download onto lots of different Ipods. There's a limit to how many Ipods, Iphones, ITouch machines you can authorize, I believe. Unless you get special software for illegal copying . . . In which case Karen and Stevie should be sued.

Well, that's assuming you buy all of your files on iTunes. One could easily buy the CD legitimately, rip it into mp3 files (using iTunes software) and load them onto iPods. These files do not have DRM.

Not quite. You are only allowed to use your iTunes account on (up to) five differenct computers. So, you can authorize use of your iTunes account on your two home computers, work computer, etc. However, I don't believe there is anything stopping you from plugging in a gazillion iPods to one of your authorized computers and putting music on it.

I guess that makes sense, because the one difficulty I have encountered doing that (just adding my music onto a friend's ipod if I don't want to synch his ipod with my library and wipe out everything else he has on his) wouldn't be an issue if you were dealing with new Ipods. They are blank anyway. There's nothing to override or replace. So, if you synch up with an existing library that wouldn't be a problem.

I guess I just didn't think you could do it because I was not trying to synch the other person's ipod. I was trying to put my songs on in addition to the ones he had on his and I couldn't do it.

Someone should ask Stevie about that, if she's paying for the music in addition to the Ipods. She would shoot them a priceless look.

All you need to do is disable the automatic synch option in iTunes. I never synch. I drag my files one-by-one onto my iPod.

Stevie looks and sounds fantastic! Her storytelling on the couch is wonderful and engaging, even if some of the subject matter is things we've heard a thousand times. She has a natural excitement that occurs when she sings songs such as 'It's Late', which further fuels the flames of the type of 'intimate-setting tour' I would love to see her do (as described in my 'Stevie Retirement Alternatives' thread that bombed).

omg, that's hilarious. Brilliant point. Unless of course all she was putting on the iPods was her own music lol

It did seem natural like a conversation between her and her friend. My favorite moment was when she said that Karen prints out her emails and Chris got a look on his face and said that some of the emails he sent her were very private, but ok . . . Chris and Kenny are both natural comedians. They could be actors. They had two professional actors on their sitcom with them, but they were as funny as either of them.
