HEE. I love it.

I've just never liked them. I think it might be a hatred that started early, when my mom used to make me invite a girl from school over to play- I didn't like her, she smelled, and everyone teased me for being friends with her. She loved Rush and would play Tom Sawyer on her tape over and over and over and over.
Yes! Love Freaks and Geeks.

Okay, so I get it, bad association with Rush. That sucks.

And yes I hear what you're saying about having to defend your Mac love due to Don't Stop. That song has ceased being a "work of art" and has become an institution. Yuck.

I couldn't agree more. It's just NOT the song I want people to immediately think of. It's so wrong.

The Motels rule(d)!!! Martha Davis rocks! Problem was, they changed lineups every album...ooops, who does THAT sound like?

The 80's Fleetwood Mac lineup that should've been, but never was:

Mick Fleetwood: drums
John McVie: bass
Christine McVie: keyboards, vocals
Bob Welch: guitar, vocals
Martha Davis: vocals, rhythm guitar
Marty Jourard: sax, keyboards

That was the first encore. I think that the record was just about to come out. I totally had the light blue levis, black leather jacket and brush cut he had in the video.

EVEN BETTER......

Don't Worry, Be Happy

And definitely We Built This City.

And I like James Blunt.

It sounds like a computer singing.

No offense Jaz...just my opinion. I am the only gay man on earth that loathes Cher I think.
no, that's cool...I don't idolize her or anything...and I agree with you. I guess my point was that I never realized she was anything BUT that. she's one of those "entertainers" you know? not necessarily an artist.

I don't loathe her myself. I think of Cher in terms similar to how I think of Vegas - sheer cheese and camp. Her gift is taking that and elevating it to an art form. She is spectacle personified. I could never regard her as an Artist the way I look at most of the singers and musicians I admire, but she amuses me in terms of culture and sheer entertainment value. I don't see that she has an emotional investment in her music, but she doesn't pretend to. She is a SHOW. And she does it the way it should be done. Full Vegas, baby.

As a person, I think she is pretty cool. I love her f- you take no prisoners attitude. Must say, shame about the face, though.
f*ckin A...you read my mind. this. is what I was trying to say.

my favorite quote of hers..."I have to answer to myself and God" - lurves it.

As a human, she rocks. I think she has balls of steel and is pretty indestructible.
She is one of the few people I haven't met that I would care to meet.
I wouldn't fawn and be nervous, I would like to meet her
just to tell her she kicks ass.

I've been borrowing that "answer to God only" quote from Cher ever since I heard her say it. "And I don't give a sh*t what anyone else thinks of me."
