He's an idiot for not meeting with her, considering his numbers are in the toilet regarding Iraq and the majority of the country wants those kids back home.

I have to say I agree. In the beginning, if he had met with her and she told him off, he could have played that to his advantage. Even if not, then he could at least say he met with her and tried to explain, but her grief is in the way. Who can say for sure what the result would have been, but we know the result of not meeting with her along with the current events has been disasterous for W. But, he made that bed - so let him lie in it.

An idiot who values his ears (all the screeching) and face (all the "beating-to-death)...so therefore a smart guy in my books!

you think so? how many HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of people joined with her in her march this past weekend and only 500 or so mustered in support of the war? and you think public perception of her is unfavorable? And I suppose you think Monkey Boy is actually well liked too?

Well, I am just going by the polls, which reflect a cross section of America. The hundreds of thousands (actually, I think it was right at 100,000) are not diverse - they all have the same purpose. But, I agree the anti-war effort is building steam - I just question how much this woman has to do with it as opposed to Americans tiring of the incompetency of W in Iraq and in general. The two thoughts are not necessarily related - though they could be. In other words, if Cindy S. did not exist, would there be this tiring of the war. I think there would be. Thus, I question her relevancy or at least her replaceability.

Interestingly, the D's must trread very carefully here as the majority of them who voted for the war and outright advocated for it have the same blood on their hands - though you may excuse them by casting some form of alleged ingnorance by them of W's eventual plans.

I have always maintained that since it was known.

Where you and I differ is you are willing to excuse Clinton for bombing these people based on essentially the same evidence - I am not, esp. considering he still advocates Iraq had WMD. You always get this confused.

Bingo.

Republicans, Democrats, blah blah. There's no real difference that I can spot.

Interestingly, did she level her same disgust at Hillary - whose husband also killed in the name of the WMD claim and I believe she voted for the war If you do not know - I can look it up.

Oh, I know all about it. Sheehan was very tough on her and DLC Hillary did her usual scripted routine. Same old ****, different day. Hillary Clinton makes me physically ill.

They didn't know?

Yeah, and Clinton didn't willingly stick his appendage in Lewinsky's mouth, a giant gust of air knocked him over on top of her and it just ended up in there.
