All I did was go online and look at the cost of the classes and that was enough to turn me off.
Besides I am going to join a RI photography group for $30.00 a year. They even have a few instructors from RISD come in and lecture so....
I don't even need to go to their overpriced school.

1. New York City (greatest city in the world)
2. Boston (like the vibe there, can't describe it)
3. Las Vegas (alot to see, alot to do...)
4. Philly (just because)

never been to San Francisco or Seattle, but from what i hear, they would probably make my top 6 as well...

Um...Anchorage, Alaska?
heh.
I'm not sure SF would make my top cities.
But at least compared to Sacramento and LA and Vegas, it's Shangri La, so it might be better than other cities, too.
I'm just really, really mad at the weather, the homeless poeple, and the bland, square houses stacked on foggy hills in the sunset and down by Ingleside. Ticky Tack indeed. Also at the exorbitant rent.
But, Golden Gate park and Presidio Heights national park are cool.

Anyway, I really, really want to visit Austin, I heard it's a great city. and
Atlanta
I'd like to go to Boulder
Santa Fe
Taos
Eugene
NY
Boston

Oh, and Berkeley is quite the pretty little city. Trees everywhere, Tilden park taking up the hill for miles behind it, a pretty campus...Yep, Berkeley is nice.

Columbus, OH.

I adore this city. So much to do and see...I like that it is a "smaller" big city, without huge touristy things and such. But it is so clean and is growing at a very quick rate. Beautiful neighborhoods like Victorian Village and German Village, great restaurants and art galleries in the Short North, shopping at Easton Towne Centre, shows in the Arena District. Love love love it. I always said that I had no desire to stay in Ohio, but I'm really looking forward to living full time in Columbus after graduating.

I want to give a shout-out to Chi-Town (Chicago), because I feel like it's being somewhat neglected on this thread compared to other cities.

So, to plug the Windy City:
We experience all four seasons here.
We are on one of the Great Lakes, and have a sandy beach for summer fun.
The Magnificent Mile, where Stevie loves to do some serious shopping!
The Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium, all easily accessible by public transportation and fairly close to each other.
Tons of music & theatre, and great restaurants! There is a plethora of things to do here every day and night of the week!

You are right, I never had chicago on my list, but I heard it's great. A must see.

because everyone wanting to move there is driving the prices up, and making everything more yuppified?
ha, I don't know, but my gay class friend and his husband are planning to move there in a couple years.
So what's the deal?

That's part of it. Really, though, when people talk about how hip Austin is, they're really only talking about downtown and South Austin. If you go north of the UT campus, it's suburban sprawl everywhere, with Wal-Mart SuperCenters and tacky chain restaurants. And I just think, eventually, that's going to creep down into central & south Austin, too. And the Republican soccer moms & dads will follow.
