"Frozen" is the only thang on that sucker that comes close to good.

Madonna's two biggest problems are her weak voice and her extremely weak lyric writing. Ray of Light was her 12-year-old diary writing / straining-to-come-up-with-something-coherent at it's worst. Her lyric writing works well for stuff like "Cherish"- but, trying to become transcendental was a big, big mistake. And then she had to top it all off with the fake British accent... Voila!!! Instant irritant.

That song is horrific. But the title track and "Frozen" more than make up for it.

I disagree and think Ray of Light - lyrics and delivery - are brilliant. I do think though that the vocal could NEVER be repeated live and thus, my problem with Madonna, though I liked her Drowned World Tour. But, even then, I was so close that I could hear what was coming out of her mouth and it was altered before it hit the speakers. Many joked about her million dollar mic. I think in the end, Madonna is a tremendous talent and I like her, but a stellar vocalist she is not. I will say that she has gotten better.

And - do not get me started on her key of C because I cannot sing any flats of sharp Minnie Mouse version of Evita - though I loved the movie and even her in it.

Well, now I wouldn't say that...

I agree with you- "Ray of Light" is a butt-waggler that is for sure. But, "Candy Perfume Girl" is perhaps Madonna's worst track ever (excluding maybe "Who's That Girl" )

****!!! "Live To Tell" just flashed in my head and that is an AWESOME Madonna song. "Crazy For You", too. I like a lot of her ballads.

Why does every gay man HAVE to love Cher or Madonna?

Because you won't get the free toaster if you don't.

Have you forgotten about the "I'm Breathless" album?

When I saw "Dick Tracy" in the theater as a wee lad, I thought she was the **** in it. Listening to that stuff now, "Vogue" is one of the few good songs on it. At least "Who's That Girl" was entertaining for the trainwreck aspect.

Now, if you want her worst song, pop in "I'm So Stupid". Christ.

-Crazy For You

-I'll Remember

-Take A Bow

.....so good I need to pop it in right now.

"Heart Of Stone" is my all-time favorite Cher song. Tying at second are "Song For The Lonely" and her cover of "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore."

Sometimes I just want to listen to some ear candy (believe it or not), and Cher provides some fun ear candy.

With Madonna, I'd say I'm a pretty big fan. Though with the last two albums ('Music' and 'American Life'), I basically loved the singles and maybe two more tracks, and that was it.

"This Used To Be My Playground" will always be my all-time favorite Madonna song. Makes me think of my grandmother's house, and it usually brings a tear to my eye.

Honey, Paris has been used so much that her flappy meat curtains now hang over the toilet bowl when she sits down. Personally, I still haven't recovered from seeing those photos from when her cell was hacked into.

She was okay in Dick Tracy, but that is part she does not need a lot of acting for. And, she sang Sondhiem there. I give her a solid B or maybe B+ for those vocals, which were somewhat difficult.

As for the movie itself - it was okay.

I'm one of the few people who LOVE that album. I think it's great fun.
