That is so me as well, I can't stand to look and see that my sheets are all messed up. It gets on my nerves REALLY bad.

Another thing I do is that at work, when I'm putting the shopping carts back they have to be in a certain order (biggest to smallest), and if someone else messes up I'll spend the time re-arranging them.

How about....
Always making my bed perfectly, Sheets turned down, pillows plumped and propped up, duvet (no wrinkles), and toss pillow perfectly arranged before I can leave the house...goes back to when I was younger-If I had a terrible day, I could always come home and crawl into a bed that looks like its from "Beautiful Homes Magazine", would always make me feel better when I was having a **** day...I know that bed is just waiting for me-crazy but it's me
Being the perfect hostess/bartender- Everyone has to have the correct glass, and perhaps the umbrella-whatever the drink calls for, and I have seasonal little napkins, to place the drinks on, again looks like "house beautiful"
Some of mine are the same as others have mentioned- CD's in alpha order (how else can you find what you want to play?-Nails have to be the same length- Money has to be all going in the same direction and in order $20 down to $1-sweep kitchen floor every day (dog hair)- no dishes in the sink.

Basically my house looks like a model home for some development. (I am not bragging, I am just saying that everything has a place, it's always clean, and always looks perfect for surprise company)..It comes from my Mom- Her home was always (and still is) lovely. I like people to feel "at home and comfortable as soon as they walk in the door-So when I walk out the door (even if I am running late,) I have to have everyuthing all set for whoever sees it next -a little OCD don't you think????
but hey
Everyone loves my house and coming over to enjoy dinner/cocktails...

Side note funny quip- When I was a kid both my parents smoked and my Mom was obsessive about making sure the ashtrays were clean...My brother,(also smoked) he would sit in the chair with an ash hanging off his cigarette, and getting ready to tap it into the ashtry and he would ask my Mom if she was ready??? Cuz she would be grabbing the windex to clean it up... Silly but true...Lots of little fires in our trash can from smouldering butts that she cleaned out of the ashtry, before they were cold.
AH memories... Luckily we don't smoke..or I may have another compulsion to add to the list.
Just some of mine to smirk at
~~eclipse~~

and I always have to change the color/font/size before I post
I'm not very neat at all and it is something I am working on. Like Amber, my grandmother is a complete fnatic so my mother rebelled and went the other way. We did not live in filth by any stretch but our home always had that "lived in" look. Also, we were rarely asked to clean our rooms so my room was always a complete sty. Its messy right now and part of the reason is I am still trying to work out how to live in such a small space!

Anyway, Eclipse, I will be up soon because your place sounds wonderful. I'm with you on the glasses thing too, I like to serve my company their drinks in beautiful stemware and they love it.

well well...this thread conjures up the worst in me. I am way OCD in many many ways. My particular problem is with counting. I do it constantly. I count on my toes, count my teeth, count corners, rows, spots, anything I can find and I always have to make it out to be even. A lot of things I do come down to things being even. I chew my food the exact same amount of times on each side. I am obsessively neat and what things in their place. I could go on, but there's not enough bandwidth.

I have a few - I liked Brad's burger thing - I'm the same way!! I can't have the bun all uneven...and I scoot the meat over as well to even things up

OThers:

I really don't like people sitting on my bed/sleeping in my bed - other than myself
I HATE when someone picks something up in my apartment -a nd doesn't put it back - OR puts it in the wrong place

I'm pretty neat freakish at my house - a place for everything and everything in its place

I'm OCD about my hair
I can't let my car's gas gauge go below half tank or I start to get very uncomfortable
I can only eat M &M's, tic tacs and other small candy in even amounts....

At HOME, too? I always do that in a public restroom, but never have at home. Now, you've given me something else to worry about!
So what do you do in a hand dryer only bathroom? In a busy place, I've found myself waiting for someone to open the door, so I can catch it with my foot.

oh no. I just meant that I tried to tell them to do that in public restrooms.

LOL - I've done the same foot-in-door thing. If there are only hand dryers, hopefully there's tissue from the stalls to use. If not, shirt is next best option.

WORD! I hate when someone picks something up and then puts it down somewhere else....drives me nuts! You know where you just picked it up from, PUT IT BACK!!

When I was little, my friend wanted to play with my My Little Pony and I had it all nice and neat on a top shelf and I told her no. She ran to my mom "Christy won't let me play with her toys!!" and my mom comes in and goes "Christy, let her play with whatever." and I and got it down for her....she played with it maybe 10 seconds and went "Let's go play outside." I was I was like, "No, we are playing with the frickin' thing, you even got my mom in here." GAH!! So, I sent her outside while I put it back nice and neat on my shelf. LOL

Oh, and the opening the door with a towel in public places...YES, my mom taught me that one and I've picked it up as of late.

Exclamation Only OCD...

when it comes to my music collection...In the past I have spent up to 6 hours reorganizing it to make room for new purchases, And everything has to be in alphabetical/chronological order or it bothers me.

I've done this recently. I hate public restrooms. Did you see The Aviator? Man that Hughes was creepy.

I'm also an obsessive counter, I count all the time. I used to have this thing in school where I would count syllables out in groups of 5 and get all anxious if it got quiet and my multiple of 5 was not complete. In my head, I was drawing a star, so if the star was not done, I was not happy. You people are the first to know! Issues.

I thought everyone was OCD about their money - mine also has to all be facing the same way and in order by denomination.

I think I'm mostly OCD about e-mail and the board, I obsessively check it. Check it. Check it.
