You big pussy!! (In my best Jerri Blank voice.)

Hmmm... best seats... I had front row for Stevie at the Gorge during the Enchanted tour. I had 5th row for one of the SYW shows but as soon as the show started I ran to the stage and spent the entire show there. I had a pretty good spot for Beck last night... I was in the pit and close to the stage.

Did anyone on this board see them during the Rumours tour? If so, what seats?

I guess I have always been a front row snob, and I blame my parents for it. LOL, anyway my first few concerts were always front row as my parents bought me tickets thru a broker. My first concerts were the Police for the Ghosts in the Machine tour, Olivia Newton-John in Phili, PNC, 2 nights at Forest Hills, Hartford. I was also able to see Van Halen at the Garden that year. I also have seen Stevie during the Wild Heart tour front row again for the Meadowlands and both Radio City shows. I have also had the pleasure of having front row for Kiss, Aerosmith, Guns and Roses, Metalica, Twisted Sister, Sheryl Crow, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, and too many more to even think about.

Front Row at the SYW concert in Greenville, SC. Stevie ended up shaking my hand at the end of the show. A night I'll never forget. And to top it off, managed to find a DVD of this show to secure it's time in space.

Yep, YOU are a front row snob!! But once you are there you just can't go back! Second row? I don't know if I would even want to go.

I did...dozens of times...well, not exactly Rumours tour, but between the time Lindsey & Stevie joined and before they stopped to record Tusk (between 1975-78).

The white album tour...3rd row center, at the 4,000 seat Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on Thanksgiving night, 1975...Bob Welch was seated directly in front of me.

I was about 20' from the stage when they played a "private" concert at Loyola Marymount University's gym in early 1976.

Was 10th row center for a December 1979 Tusk tour show...the only show of that stand at the GW Forum where the USC marching band showed up & played.

For me, "closer" isn't necessarily "better". I prefer to be either off to the side in the risers (at arena shows), about two or three sections back from the front of the stage, about equal height to stage level. OR...right in front of the soundboard (THAT's where the best sound in the house is! )

ChiliD...thats awesome...! What would you say was the "best" Mac show as far as sound, band intensity, and set list out of all the Mac shows you have seen?

That's like asking "which of your children is your favorite"...you don't play favorites!! There was really no ONE show that encapsulated everything; but, I can TRY to respond a BIT to your question:

Band Intensity: August 1977, GW Forum. The band was really tight throughout the show; one of the better "Rhiannon"s I've ever seen/heard; even Lindsey's take on "Oh Well" didn't annoy me like previous shows/tours.

Set List: The "Shake The Cage" tour in 1987...a mix of new tunes, the hits, old gems & rare surprises.

Sound: Final show of the 1990 tour...I was sitting RIGHT in front of the soundboard...it was like listening to a live CD...just fantastic sound!

Biggest Surprise: The aforementioned Tusk show when the black curtain backdrop opened to reveal the USC Marching Band in full Trojan regalia.

But, there's just nothing like the awe of your FIRST Fleetwood Mac show...for me, that was their taping of the Don Kirshner's Rock Concert TV show in 1974 around the time of the release of Heroes Are Hard To Find. Bob Welch was incredible (moreso than what was finally aired on TV).

That's awesome. Did you see them on The Dance tour? I missed that tour unfortunately...'cause now I wont have the chance to see the "classic" Mac-lineup again. But my friend Bill said it was a great tour, but the band seemed somewhat bored, especially Lindsey. Bill said the Tusk tour was probably the best as far as sound, setlist and showmanship.

Sorry, I edited my post after you'd quoted me.

Yeah, I saw them twice on The Dance tour. I found it a bit boring...only because it was pretty much note-for-note, word-for-word from The Dance video (plus a few other tunes). And, then, two days later, it was like watching a tape of the show I'd just seen a couple of days before. The only difference between the two shows (that I can recall) is that the first show, they NAILED the harmonies on "Farmer's Daughter"...the second show, WHEW! , SOUR!!! That's how I could tell they weren't lip-syncing!

Yeah I see. I think the Dance DVD is amazing though. Lindsey's guitar work is very enjoyable. I wish they had filmed more of the Say You Will tour. I wanted to see Lindsey's Red Rover, Sara, and I Know I'm Not Wrong. I would rather see them pull out odd cuts like those than the typical "Rhiannon" and such, that cant really be done justice anymore.

I think what annoyed me the most during The Dance (and I DO see my hypocracy in this, in regards to Lindsey), was that they didn't do ANY material from prior to 1975 (ok, let's get down to brass-tacks, they didn't play "Oh Well"!). I thought that was really crappy that they just ignored 10 years of "Fleetwood Mac" material and basically just hammered us with white album & Rumours yet again.
