CSN&Y ???
AND since when was The Mac and AMerican band (I always considered it British)
Heart & Jimi Hendrix are both from Seattle.

In addition to those above, what I wanna know is where's:
ZZ Top
Buffalo Springfield
(since The Byrds were mentioned...CSNY would sort of be a mix of those two bands)
Little Feat
Grand Funk Railroad
Mountain
Poco
Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
The Edgar Winter Group
Alice Cooper

I've always had the opinion that the originally released version was actually better than the post-litigation version.

The OC Fair show is sold out. I know you'll probably be able to source out some comp tix, however, I'm not paying scalpers.

I was the 6'4" dude with the 5'3" shrimpy chick (my dearest friend, Cheryl)!

If you were sitting where I think you were sitting then you had to be able to see the guy in the front row a couple of seats down from me. OY!!! He had a huge, poofy, mid-80's poodle-mullet!! With scary tight jeans and white snakeskin cowboy boots. He was scary and all of maybe 5'4".

I like them both. I still have the original release on vinyl. Magazine is probably my favorite Heart album. It is goooooood stuff. "Here Song", "Just the Wine", "Magazine".... it is an awesome album- 1976 personified.

I believe Heart "started" in Canada, but Im not sure. Of course Fleetwood Mac IMO shouldn't be on this list either.

BLACK DOG! Thats my all time favorite LZ. I got to hear that. I think Heart's version of Rock and Roll is better the original and Stevie's (although Stevie's is great) but then again I dont think the original is all THAT good, while Black Dog is just perfection, so I got to hear them do that. And is the Battle of Evermore the song where they go "BRING IT BACK" BRING IT BRING IT BRIONG IT BRING IT"

I cant download that, but I went to amazon and heard the 30 second clip, sounds great. I think I have to get that CD for both the Zep covers plus some killer versions of their own songs. Do you guys have Heart performing Battle of Evermore at that special Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concert in 95 I think. That just blew me away the firs time I saw it, I never knew how could Nancy's voice was as well.

Maybe cuz all their songs sound exactly the same? :P

Anyways, I can't believe Fleetwood Mac are on this list. They're not an American band. I mean, jeeze. If they have FM on this list, then where's The Velvet Underground? They're not all American, but they formed in the USA. And the Ramones? Sheebus. There are many better punk bands they could have included.

I'm glad Pearl Jam is number one. Really, I'm just glad to see them above Nirvana. And REM are one of the greatest bands ever, glad to see them on there. They coulda included Sonic Youth, though. -_-

Television, for one, but I love The Ramones, so I'm glad they made it.

I don't hate the Ramones, but I don't love them. I mean, what about Blondie? The Patti Smith Group? The Avengers? But then again, I'm like, the only Avengers fan I know of, so...
