I have a friend who is pretty much the same. He met a girl who is the same way at a local small coffee house and they are married with kids - so if you want it, it could happen if he and she are any indication.

Um, even though you say you don't like going out, do you like live music? You can go out to the local bars when live music is playing, and that's usually fun. I've enjoyed many a show. You don't have to dance, or drink. oops, sorry, advice again.

No, they really aren't. I mean, they kind of are, but not really. It's like only having the chips and salsa at a mexican restaurant, when really you are waiting for your giant yummy taco or burrito....

Can't drink - alchohol even in small doses makes me ill.

Can't dance - have no rhythm and poor balance.

I like live music, but let's remember that I live in Vacahell. Live music around here consists of three things: Country bands at the local bars ( ), local alternative (or whatever the hell they call themselves now) bands (which means a lot of stoned-out teeny boppers), and the middle-aged mediocre cover bands that play at the Creekwalk.

I'm really not trying to be contrary. (Believe it or not). I've never had luck in the romance department - friends have tried hooking me up with friends of theirs or friends of their boyfriends (one even tried to pass off one of his own boyfriends off on me "He's bi, you want him?"), but nothing ever came of it.

Also, my senses seem a bit off. There've been times when friends and coworkers have said "That guy was totally checking you out/flirting with you!" and I didn't even notice.

yeah...people don't always like negative people. I don't always know the bands or anything before I go out, but it usually turns out O.K.

Don't take this the wrong way, I appreciate you trying to help but...

On the other hand, I'm not going to start doing things that I don't like doing or attempt a more positive outlook just to get a bf/gf.

If I end up being one of those crazy ladies who lives alone with zillions of cats, so be it. There's always porn and vibrators in leu of the real thing. I'd rather settle for a fake substitute than be fake myself.
