I think she will play Vegas. It makes the most sense. The venue is smaller, the house, which includes other casinos, often papers much of it as comps to high rollers, she does not have to travel, it pays a comparative fortune, and she showed her worth a few weeks ago. I mean something like three weeks in Vegas makes a whole lot of sense when you compare it to 15 weeks on the road in the Summer heat I'd certainly so it if I were her.

Normally this would depress me, but I still don't think it is true. Even if it is, she has two tours coming up (so I have that to look forward to) and I have already seen her half a dozen times and am planning to see her a couple times this summer.... So if she wants to settle down, more power to her, she deserves it- but the day she retires is the day I cry into my pillow.

Me too.

However, I would do something special for the fans and go on a final tour playing small theaters. Like the venues that Springsteen just played and that Annie Lennox did on her limited solo tour a couple of years ago.

That way people who don't have money to fly to Vegas could get the experience of seeing Stevie in a more intimate environment than an awful shed.

As long as she continues to do something I'll be happy. If she does Vegas for a week every few months that is cool because if you need a Stevie fix you can just fly out West. But if she falls off the face of the Earth (like Lindsey has ever since the SYW tour finished) then I'll be depressed. I don't see that ever happening though.

Vegas isn't touring, so I'm sure she'll play there a few weeks per year to make some steak. But, again, I don't see her doing that for very long, either.

That would be so cool. I don't really mind the sheds though. I just wish she wouldn't do them in the heat of the Summer.

I just had a horrible thought- didn't Stevie get sick last summer because of the heat? What if that happens again? I'd be so upset if she has to cancel the Florida dates.

I still believe what Cory told me that Lindsey wasn't there but if in fact she was lying or trying to cover up some FM secret or conspiracy , would that be a case of Mr. Control strikes again? I remember reading something Stevie said about how every little thing she did aggravated him (this was after their breakup), so maybe she does tone it down when he's around. Maybe some of that from that past has stuck with her..

That's one of the reasons Lindsey is *featured* as a guest on a few songs only in my list. I want her to let loose, rock out, not be inhibited (and she seems to be when he's on stage with her) and play by her rules. And, if Lindsey doesn't like it, he can pick up the pieces and go home..

Think positively!!!

Obviously Stevie is a human being and will not live forever, but she isn't even sixty. Let's not send her to a nursing home just yet.

Exactly, listen to any SYW bootleg and then listen to the Vegas boots from Fri/Sat. It is an amazing difference. She is so passionate with her vocals and twirled all night and did all these sensual dances. Said things like "Isn't it sexy?" Things that would most likely piss Lindsey off, so that is why she doesn't do them in front of him? It makes sense....

She got sick in 2001 and last year, and I believe both were shed-induced. That's why I'm surprised to see her doing them again this summer.

I really think this year's tour has been inflicted on her. I don't know the industry very well, but maybe she's under pressure from her management or record company or whatever.

I agree that it is not touring in the sense that she is performing in one location, but it is touring in the sense that she does not live there and must travel there But, I say if it keeps her healthy and happy - more power to her.

Hmmm.... well that is weird that she would do sheds- again! This is a really short tour though and I don't think every date is a shed. I know the Miami date is indoors.

What a stretch.

And what is all of this "Lindsey makes Stevie reserved and make sher hold back onstage" stuff? Has anyone stopped to think that they both front the band and Stevie sees it as an opportunity to not do as much onstage as she has to when she's solo and has to carry an entire show on her shoulders? Jeezum crow. That Lindsey, what an evil little devil he is to make poor Stevie retreat back into her shell.

Considering Don is only doing the first 10 shows with her and yet is doing all of the press (which is minimal at best) is incredibly odd. Girlfriend is OVER IT, IMHO.
