Nice view. I like trees.
Have you always had such a thing for birds?

No, my fascination with birds started when I lived in with a friend in her house in South Austin. She had a great front yard with lots of native plants that attracted hummingbirds and swarms of butterflies. But for some strange reason, not too many birds. I bought some wild bird seed from a nursery one day, set it out, and my view of the world was forever altered.

When I think about it, it seems birds are the only truly free land animals left on earth. All the others have been compartmentalized. Birds can go anywhere they want at any time.

All of my pet birds have been adopted from people who weren't able to keep them. They all have their wings and are free to fly throughout my 3-room little apartment when I let them out for playtime. Yes, it can get a little messy at times, but "strategically placed newspaper" and the new "It-pulls-the-dirt-to-the-bottom" Pine-Sol work wonders. And I don't mind a bit. There's just something about sitting reading a book and having a lovebird whizz by my head that is priceless to me. Or, having a cockatoo sitting on my shoulder nuzzling his head in my neck as I type this message...

By the way, here's Rocky:

Hmmmm, {stands up in cubicle, looks out the window}...

Our south parking lot...the Queen Mary & a Princess cruise ship...the dome that formerly housed the Spruce Goose that is now the Princess cruise lines terminal...the mouth of the Los Angeles River...the Queensway Bridge, and 1000's of big-rigs going in & out of the Port of Long Beach/Los Angeles on the 710 freeway.

And, on my way home after work, I'll be driving on the Long Beach Grand Prix race course for about a mile.

When sitting at my computer looking out my den window I see the back of the House of Blues, the Continental Rrrriot House, the Mondrian Hotel and the Argyle.

Looking out my balcony, I have a panorama view starting with downtown LA/Bunker Hill, sliding down to Park La Brea/Miracle Mile and almost getting to the beach.

Living in the city has its advantages- like being able to walk around the corner and see Stevie playing at the House of Blues for the millennium concerts! Boy, that was cool!!

I have a view of a few of my neighbors yards from my attic room window. In my yard, I see a few trees and the landlord's pet pug.

Talking I have an ODD...

view outside depending on direction, example-Directly South: A CO-OP gas station, A Jr. High/High School, A highway, The Kiowa Tribal Complex, A few baseball fields...And frikkin' trees.

My online view is even better, Just a big ass monitor and to my direct left my mother-of-all stereo components (My 8 cd/4 cassette JVC/TDK/Teac system) & my music collection which covers an area of 8'X 12' (An estimate) along/on the wall.

Anywhere except to my place. Birds and I do not get along.
But good to know that Rocky has a place by you.

I don't know LA well. I'm assuming you enjoy that view?

That sounds like a very happening area. Noisey?

I love pugs. Tan or black?

I'll take the trees, you can have the baseball fields.
Tennis courts, they're another story.

Figures you'd see that as a bad thing. I hear money can get someone a lot of your personality.
