Second Time Around was originally slated as the first single from BTM but the band feared it would be too successful and did not want a Rumours 2.

When I See You Again was on the verge, but that damn Christine ruined everything once again!

Lindsey wanted to produce TITN with just Stevie, no Christine, because he wanted to recapture the inescapable magic of his musical soulmate.

In actual fact, he wanted to record and produce the album at Betty Ford so he could have the angst in their voices.

It’s interesting. I didn’t know this about the chart data. “Hold Me” has a big platform in the culture. But a few others rival it easily. I would say there are about ten Fleetwood Mac songs that still make waves — on the radio, in movies, on TV, among other artists, etc.
Thoughts?

But Hold Me, Don’t Stop, Rhiannon, Landslide, GDW, and even Songbird are not unusual. I used to hear SYLM, Big Love, and Sara more than I do. |

to be strictly accurate, she was his recording engineer.

Whatevs.
So the gist of it was that Prince wanted Old I'm Not The Boss to stay TF away from him? Man, she was relatively still in her prime, when the whole world still wanted her. Okay, to be fair, he's a little crazy. I'm friends with a member of his band, and other insiders, who've told me some crazy stories. So I guess they were/are both crazy.

Watching her tell the story, the engineer sort of acts out as well as tells how Stevie was flouncing around, flicking her skirts, and she states that Stevie was commando under her skirts, and it wigged both her and Prince way out. Stevie was apparently trying to entice Prince with the goods. In a sort of similar way Andy Summers tells about The Police playing in LA and Stevie had gotten herself backstage and then positioned herself to be watching (him, it seems like, though he is very discreet in how he tells the story) from the side of the stage. He def implies a hook up, but he's too discrete about it. She was clearly "legendary" in more ways than one. The story of how far she'd changed from being discreet to flaunting it for me was the Dave Stewart story about how he showed up in the studio where she was recording and Jimmy told her she didn't know Dave, that he was HIS friend, and she said in front of everyone, "What do you mean? I slept with him the other night"
