I guess we now suffer from our GOS knowledge. To the most of us there now only were a couple of songs new. Therefore perhaps the flow of the album seems to be disturbed. With the exception of DOR, I think that is not the case for someone who hears the entire thing for the first time. And the GOS album would have been great, yes. It wouldn`t have sold more, but that`s a different topic. In a way Murrow, Red Rover and Come have their wrong place on a FM album.

I love Mick & John being Lindsey's rhythm section.. but I wish they could do that under an individual setting, without the huge FM title. I'd love it if Lindsey's electric album was backed by Mick & John.. but I don't think the three will make a full album together ever, ever without it being called a FM project. The name just has all kinds of weight behind it.

In any case, I don't find the song trivial or worn out. Although it's short and repetitive, it's not trivial. As for worn out, the only part of the song I dislike is the very beginning. Every time it starts, I almost get ready to skip it till I remember that it's IWY. As for DOR, SGCYM, and TFTS, I love those songs and think they are extremely well done, but I tend to skip them. My own fault, because I listened to the GOS songs way too much. So I'm somewhat done with them for now. I still appreciate them, but right now I'm liking the "new" stuff. |

Heh. That's funny. I love the way he says "every day nahhh..day nahhh", so I end up skipping back and listening to the beginning a couple times then going on with the rest of the song. I guess I just like the Lindsey accent, and how "now" doesn't sound like "now" at all. I guess it's unfair for me to say I'm "tired" of the GoS songs. I'm not any more "tired" of them than I am the rest of his solo career.. I guess I'm just still in mode to listen to the newest stuff and figure it out as well as I know the others. I mean, I've heard the other songs so many times that I hear every little bitty sound and can pick out each and every piece of the harmonies. So really, I guess I'm just starting to put aside the tracks I already know and really start burning the new ones into my brain.

As for his "accent," that's our Linds! Just so he doesn't overdo it, ala "Turn It On." |

I just think that Lindsey really wanted a family and even if Stevie was perfect for him in time...she could never give him that.
