Strange isn't the word. There are people on Facebook bragging about it, posting where they're planning new riots. Of course, my home town is close to top of the list so I'm pretty scared.

Can't see anyone bragging/planning riots on my Facebook... though there's this one 14 year old who's like "riots such a good thing we got 2 rage against da machine government sux!!!"

The riots in London make for some really sickening viewing. Bee, I'm sure you'll be okay, I can't see it spreading throughout the country beyond certain flashpoints for the simple reason that no one seems to be certain exactly why they're all rioting.

I heard it was cause the police shot someone? Allegedly for no reason? To start with at least, most of them are probably just copycats doing it for the sake of it...

That's actually pathetic. I'm actually dismayed by the yob culture mentality that's so prevalent in our country these days. I mean, I know our image abroad is the stuck up country, but, nowadays, it's anything but.

I think the riots originally started over that police shooting, but now it seems to have escalated into rioting... for the sake of it. It's sad.

News has just broken that riots have started in Liverpool.

So yes, I think it is spreading up the country with London, Birmingham and Liverpool

I don't think I can ever remember being this scared. When it hits Bradford (which it will because it can never be left out of anything bad) it's gonna be destroyed. There's far too many angry yobs here as it is to keep us safe.

Too easy these days to whip people up into a frenzy - if ever there was an enormous downside to Facebook, Twitter, et al!

I'm sure they had things before Facebook and Twitter to whip them up. Though I suppose it does exacerbate things dramatically. I don't know what to think of humanity sometimes. People wonder why I can be anti-social and so insular a lot of the time. Of course I will be when the **** a lot of them does affects me so deeply and makes me miserable. Alot don't give a **** about each other. Just what they stand to gain from them. Any excuse to attack and maim physically and mentally over any difference and they leap at it because they don't know how to tolerate.

I hate this time we're living in. I just want out.
