Sorry to say this, but Stevie was meant to sing "Not Fade Away"...good thing Zooey Deschanel couldn't do it. Stevie's voice is perfect for BOTH the songs she did!!! Kicked serious butt!!! I LOVE THEM BOTH!!!! And yes, I like Stevie's version of "It's So Easy" much better than Linda Ronstadt's LOL GOOO STEVIE!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think we've heard that growl from Mama in a long, long time
. I'm so proud of her for doing this. Granted, I was kinda hoping that she would have covered Buddy Holly's version instead of covering Linda Ronstadt's cover of Buddy Holly. But then again, it's perfectly appropriate since Waddy played guitar on Linda Ronstadt's version- what a cool full-circle moment!

I am obsessed with "It's So Easy." I want this in Stevie's set. Right now.
This entire tribute special was so well done. All the performances were fantastic and the interview clips were very interesting, too. I caught Mary jamming out in the audience a couple of times. She seems like such an enthusiastic little thing.

...if Ms Nicks continues to perform at this level her career will flourish...IYD and the buddy holly stuff is great stuff....I truly believed a year ago that In Your Dreams was her final bow...but it doesnt sound that way...with Lindseys album/concert tour stalled and Stevie coming to an end with IYD promotion we may still see a FM cd and one more Stevie cd in the next five years..
