The only places like that I like to shop are American Eagle & Aeropostle, because you can find really cheap, cute, stuff there...and they have more sizes in stock than just XS,S, & M

As for fashion this season I don't like... it would have to be pajamas. People who wear pajamas to class. It's a big thing among college students here & they look so lazy & pointless...at least trade them for some sweat pants.
Ah yes the smell. I used to know a girl in high school who worked at Hollister and she said that they had to spray the clothes with perfume 3 times an hour (or once every 3 hours something like that) and even though Hollister, Abercrombie, and Gilly Hicks are basically dead now, the wing of the mall that Hollister is in reeks of the perfume, to the point where when you go inside of the mall from the outside lifestyle center, you're hit with a wall of stink

^^^^^ or however many, above- Heji,
They are the actual Levi 'Skinny Jeans' that I have and oh no, they are in that same shade of gray as your Conan photo- I can fit my wallet inside of them, but the look just is...wrong.
That Conan photo about made me die- I dun't like him, and I have the Skinny's in that exact shade of gray. The legs are not that tight as in his picture I'm relieved to say, for sure. The other Levi Skinny's I have that are the standard blue jeans color, I will put the wallet in my pocket, they're fine. His legs look ridiculous, especially, wearing whatever those are, and by the way, his shoes are the ugly square-tipped style of shoe I referred to in my first reply to Mll's thread.
Sigh. No, the legs of my pair are not like that. And thank you God, neither is my body! And those are my only 2 pairs of 'skinny'jeans, when I knew something worked real well for me, I would buy way more than 2 pairs, if you saw my white jeans comments- I must have more than the dozen I estimated of those by every jeans manufacturer of them I found.
Damn that Justin Bieber. White jeans was my thing, then that fetus had to start wearing them, and even he seems to have stopped now.

They are of varying degrees of skinniness. Some are more skin tight, and I always get asked if I'm comfortable. My tighter ones are actually more comfortable, because they are stretchy and give me a lot of room. And for those of you that don't know, they do make guys skinny jeans with more room down there. If I wear anything bigger than skinny jeans, I look a lot bigger. From my perspective, why would I wear something that made me look bigger? I'm quite thin so I can pull it off. And I don't have much of an ass in any kind of jeans, btw.
I like skinny jeans, too. The only problem I have, is that it's sometimes hard to hide your junk!

I joke every time I go into a mall and pass within 300 feet of an Abercrombie store that all those poor employees are going to die of some form of crazy cancer from constantly inhaling that stench every day.

I'm not sure I know enough about current fashion trends to add much to this (very fun) thread, but I have noticed high waisted pants coming back for women and it makes me want to cry.

Even on this gorgeous person, they look ridiculous.

What really are the current trends for women right now?

I hate those, too. Reminds me of some old pics of Christine, with those high waisted jeans. Bleck!

Ugh, I hate the high-waisted pants. They always make the person look like she's wearing stilts.

I always thought those perfumed scents were added to stores' ventilation systems throughout. I read about it once in the paper how businesses use scents to entice customers. I'm pretty sure Cracker Barrel does the same thing to get that old country smell when you walk in.

I definitely agree with this. A good example is American Apparel. I just don't get paying all that money for a plain, solid color t-shirt. My other half LOVES American Apparel. To me, their clothing looks just like Fruit Of The Loom... except priced about 10 times as much. I'd almost understand the phenomena if the clothing was made extremely well, but I've noticed Jimmy's American Apparel shirts unravel prematurely.

Regarding fashion in general... I'm not stylish myself. I can't really judge what others wear, I just know what I wouldn't. I say whatever you feel good wearing, go for it.

For the past couple years, but especially recently I am seeing a lot of early 60's Mad Men-inspired stuff for women. Dresses that are short and flared, for example.

If you're not familiar, do a google image search for "Betty Draper". The mall stores for adult women (Banana Republic for example) are full of that stuff!

None of these look appealing to me and that's one of the ugliest skirts I've ever seen. I like handkerchief hems myself, and I'm even picky about the "cut" of those. 3rd pic over is too 80's "Just One of the Guys" to me, he just needs the belt and huge earrings. I haven't seen any men dress like this thankfully.

Yuck.
I am more interested in a 70's vibe.
For example a nice washed out pair of boot-cut jeans, wearing my Jim Morrison shirt.
Does anyone hate those disgusting loose white shirts, with those magazine graphics on them?

I have a pair of proper 70's high waisted flares and they're amazing... ly comfortable. I look like a tit in them but my GOD I could sleep in the things.

Well the most obvious reason for paying more is you know it was made in America. I don't have a lot of things from AA because of the price - but the things I do have are an amazing fit on me.

Can someone who hates skinny jeans explain? I'm really curious.
