*I'm using the versions from Street Blue Angel which do not fade! Yay!!! Same show, no fading!! Yay!!!

***"Storms" - Both this and "Beautiful Child" are not the mixes from The Chain, but longer unreleased mixes from the Masters. Both have lots of EXTRA overdubs by Stevie!!!!

It's similar to the version on the 2nd disc of the 2004 re-release of Tusk, but this one from the Masters Reels, at 5:46, is 23 seconds longer than the one on the Tusk re-release. Even more Stevie vocals!!!

Ack - my apologies. I got wasted at the Christmas party Friday night and spaced this out the rest of the weekend. I've sent myself a reminder to upload this reel tonight.

Sorry for the delay!

Here is the version of "24 Karat" I would use on the anthology. From the Master Reels, with useless studio junk edited off to make it a compilation-worthy song:

Here is the "Beautiful Child" outtake:

Hoe can I have missed this thread?! nThis is the best Stevie collection I have ever seen. Mike, I applaud your hard work here - the title is also a very nice touch.

I was wondering if there is any way this collection could be made available to us? Either through mediafire or otherwise? If you can't upload them then would you be able to burn them to disc? I'd be more than willing to reimburse you any costs for materials and posttage! This collection is awesome!

pm me if you'd prefer.

Thanks, Dod! I worked hard at incorporating ALL eras of Stevie's career. I'm still working on it, re-thinking a few things. Stevie's time in Fritz isn't represented, so I'm thinking of adding "Take Advantage Of Me", since Javier posted it online. I know Stevie didn't write it, but it's very early, sound is great, and STEVIE SINGS IT WONDERFULLY!!!

Viv's "Are You Mine?" thread is also making me thinking about adding the Rock A Little outtake to the anthology, since the song is so important to Stevie.

Still working...!!!!

OK. Here it is.

The songs are all in this folder: http://www.mediafire.com/?5151qiouzx7gf

And the unedited track that Mike edited and used for his anthology is track 2.

Tracks 2, 3 and 13 are standout, in my opinion.

24 Karat Gold 1/80 with Still Of The Night 4/4/80 Bella Donna Master Reel
1....Outside The Rain - 4/4/80 (7:19) Extended Outtake
2....24 Karat Gold - 1/80, vocal track 23 - (8:14) "I myself, see myself differently…than the one that only you see…"
3....24 Karat Gold - 1/80, same as above, no intro, w/vocal overlays (6:36)
4....24 Karat Gold - Session #3, vocal overlays (5:32)
5....24 Karat Gold - Session #4, false start w/intro (0:27)
6....The Dealer - rough studio clip w/dialogue (1:42) Stevie speaks regarding the song being given away
7....How Still My Love - 4/4/80 #1, partial (0:22) piano demo
8....How Still My Love - 4/4/80 #2, (7:02) piano demo. With backup "oohs"
9....How Still My Love - 4/4/80 #3, (7:02) piano demo - multiple vocal overlays, and backup vocals.
10....How Still My Love - 4/4/80 #4, (7:08) piano demo. Similar to #3, but with less vocal overlays.
11....24 Karat Gold - no date, mono backup vocal track (3:37)
12....24 Karat Gold - no date, mono backup vocal track (1:55)
13....24 Karat Gold - LONG intro (10:12)
14....24 Karat Gold - Session Dialogue (2:06)
