I will be curious to see what makes it to the album, i believe it in the wild heart tour program , a reprint of an interview listing Violet and Blue and a few other songs on Bella Donna .... Plus as she does more interviews things will continue to change.. that's just how she does it

There's really no reason to get worked up over the supposed Twilight song. I mean seriously - she wrote Trouble In Shangri La about the OJ Simpson trial, and if she hadn't said that herself, no one would even know.

I think we can safely rule out any of the Rhiannon songs. It could be something we've never heard before.
Mid 70"s demos, she said she sounds like she's five. China Doll? Secret Love? Watchdevil?

Right. I'm hoping the Twilight song was inspired by the movie, not necessarily about the movie similar to the connection you made above.

I really hope she does do something like Belladonna or Sable on Blond in her set. But as most people have suggested, it's probably something she has done in about 10-12 years. Either way, something she hasn't done in awhile will be a pleasant change.

As far at the covers go, we know we are definitely getting a new one. I bet she does the other 2 from her existing reportoire of covers...I'm leaning towards I Need to Know and Rock n Roll, or maybe Crash.

I'm clueless on the demo. Since she wasn't dropping the name in the interview, I bet it is something that was uncovered and circulated previously. Just a guess.

No matter what, this is all exciting and I really hope the rest of this year keeps up at this momentous rate for her (and us!)

This new interview made my head explode a little bit! It all sounds too good to be true, but I think it is. And I'll restrain my feelings about Stevie writing a "Twilight" tune til after I hear the song, but aside from that it does sounds like it's going to be the best Stevie Nicks album since Bella Donna.

Did anyone else notice that Stevie mention's the president of her record company Tom Whalley, chairman & CEO of Warners, which should end speculation that she is still under contract with Warners/Reprise.

Also Stevie says she "dug out a lot of songs from the song vault. I pulled songs from 1976 that I don’t know why in the world did not go in the first Fleetwood Mac album"

and goes onto clarify she "was able to pull four or five songs out of my song vault"

So the Album line-up could go something like this: (with lot's of vault goodies)
1. Italian Summer
2. Wide Sargasso Sea
3. Annabel Lee (vault song) & co-writing credit to Dave & Ballard adding a English minuet
4. The Ghosts Are Gone
5. Everybody Loves You
6. New Orleans song
7. "Twilight song"
8. Mike Campbell Song #1
9. Mike Campbell Song #2
10. 1976 song (vault)
11. 1976 song (vault)
12. unspecified era vault song
13 .unspecified era vault song

I didn't know she'd write a song, but I'd expect her to know about Twilight more than anything else. I'd think that would be sort of a priority for her. It's right up her alley.

She said 2 covers that they don't usually do...I took it to mean new covers. She can't be talking about I Need To Know. I don't know if she considers Face The Promise as a song that she doesn't normally do. But I hope she means new covers. And hopefully this means we can count out hearing songs like INTK, Circle Dance, R&R. I don't think those 3 will be in the set.

Anyway, this interview is amazing!! The bunny shirt scares me though. When she said she sounded like she was five I did think of Secret Love. I'm excited for Annabel Lee. The demo is good but it's not one of those demos that I think is just amazing how it already is. I'm not afraid of her to release it since I think she can make it better then the demo, and it sounds like she is.

The way she describes this album is so exciting. It sounds like the best thing ever. I feel like she is going in some unexplored territory and this will be a very unique album.

So true.

I was thinking of Cecilia ever since she gave us the child's name. But the lyrics are rather somber, not ideal for when you want to give a sick child hope. Ack, I can't breathe. Suffer, suffer . . ., so I can see why that wouldn't work!

I laugh thinking that she knows the stuff is on Youtube within hours of the concert ending. It will be interesting to see what camera security is like at Santa Barbara. Will it be as open as Fleetwood Mac during Unleashed or will they go backwards and try to enforce restrictions again.

Heck, I was surprised that Christine's name got thrown in. But you made me giggle about PG.

I've been thinking of Twilight and don't worry. We won't recognize it. The references will be so vague that we aren't going to get images of the somber Kristen Stewart dancing in our heads when we listen to the words or music. It will be as related to the books and movies as TISL was to the OJ trial like KarmaContestant said or Illume to 911 .

Well, if there's anything that should have been on an FM album, it's The Dealer., but the time frame is not right, I suppose.

wouldn't the Rhiannon song be part of the movie she was has revived and is working on

Thought it was interesting that she suggested that this short tour is like a year's worth of work, especially beneficial in this economy. It sounds like she is being well paid.

I'm not losing hope that "Forsaken Love" may pop up on this album. That's quintessential "suffering Stevie." I would DIE.

I don't get all this Pez-Head snapping off hysteria about Stevie writing a song influenced by Twilight. Good Lord, Stevie's written songs about books and romance novels and old movies forever. I've seen the "Running Through The Garden"-inspiring movie, I've read some Barbara Cartwright, watch the OJ trials, rented a documentary about Mabel Normand, wondered which Lifetime TV-Movie inspired "Street Angel"... That's what Stevie does! She writes songs!

Stevie was inspired to write a song while either watching the Twilight movies or reading the Meyer books. I highly doubt Stevie's lyrics in her new song start, "Weeeellllll, Edward...." or "Jacob, won't you come on back..."

The "Sound like I'm 5 years old" comment. That means Stevie sounds younger, not like she's literally making baby talk in the 1976 demo. She doesn't even sound like that in the much-maligned "Secret Love" (written & demoed in 1978, BTW).

This interview is so interesting, especially where Stevie relates she wrote "Annabel Lee" when she was 17! That is SO COOL!!!! Stevie, all into her gothic poetry in high school... inspired to write a song!!!

The interviewer sure seemed to know about Stevie's unreleased recordings!!!

I agree. Isn't Stevie's dogs named Bella something, wasn't a fan magazine called Bella something. Well, Twilight has a Bella, so naturally it perked up Stevie's interest. Plus, that movie is supposed to be romantic.

P.S. From Italian Summer and some other references, it looks like we are getting a very romantic, rock record.

I think 'Kind of Woman' will be the song she will do at these shows that she's never sung before. She mentioned "Kind of Woman That Will Haunt You" as one she planned to do.
Should be excellent live!
