I would put money down for her being part of the Michael Jackson tribute as part of some cavalcade of stars chorus line... but, hey, I will take anything I can get!!!

and the best part of that is it will be in 3D!!! so everyone find a pair of glasses somewhere

Wow this is great!
However, I seriously doubt she is going to do one of her own songs, it's more likely she'll be on stage with a bunch of other people to do some kind of tribute.

Are the Grammy's pre-taped or live? I assumed they were pre-taped already... or maybe I'm thinking of some other awards shows.

It is being reported that Elton John and Lady Gaga are planning a surprise performance together, so if that's the case, Stevie may also be performing with a younger artist like someone else suggested. Maybe Stevie and Taylor Swift?

Now THAT I would love to see! I just heard another song the other day where Taylor was singing backup for another artist... and it was very Stevie-esque.

I think it is a given Stevie will be a part of some sort of collaborative effort on stage for the grammies... she won't just be up there alone.

Yeah, I bet they are going to do something like that... They put unlikely pairs together last year and it turned out well.

I would prefer to have her sing a song that people aren't familiar with, or that her signature 70's/80's voice is not attached to, so I don't sit cringing on my couch.

But that's just my personal opinion. You don't have to agree or understand.
Actually, everytime I play a post-1986 live version of "Stand Back" for a casual fan or a non-fan, they all pretty consistently say the same thing to me... "Doesn't she remember how her own song goes?... This doesn't sound anything like the song when they used to play it on the radio. " It's not only due to the lyric changes, but also because the melody of the words is almost completely different than on the album version.
