I saw Vivica Fox in Macbeth at Boston Rep. several seasons back. She had a mesmerizing, viperish quality that added a sense of cruelty & palpable evil to the production.

Your newest role is a mom on the Nickelodeon series "True Jackson, VP" a show about a 15-year-old who becomes a fashion executive. A. I play Kiki Palmer’s mom. Mrs. Jackson is kind of like a Stepford Wife-meets-Michelle Obama — but then she will “Kill Bill” ya. Q. Did you draw any inspiration from Mrs. O? A. The way I dress on the show is inspired by Mrs. O. I took the way she dresses — belted cardigans over white shirts. I really liked that look. Q. She sounds nothing like your character on “Curb Your Enthusiasm." A. I’m used to not being censored. I had to remember that I was working with the kids. It’s Nickelodeon, not HBO. Q. So you got used to working with Larry David? A. It was awesome, but it was hard. “Curb” is so raw and in-your-face and nonscripted. Sometimes we just got a location. So you’re in your room trying to think of jokes, trying to think of being funny. So that was difficult. Q. You recently hosted a dating reality show pairing younger guys with an older woman. Would you call yourself a cougar? A. I’m a bona fide cougar. A cougar is a woman in her 40s who is single and ready to mingle, and that describes me. Q. What do you consider “robbing the cradle”? I'll try not to date younger than 28. I try. If they’re just that cute, then maybe a little bit younger, but I do try. Q. You’re always in New York when you’re not filming in L.A. What gives? A. Shopping is what I like best about N.Y. I love Bergdorf Goodman. It’s like a smorgasbord of fashion and no one bothers me. And I love La Esquina. That corn, child, that corn make you wanna slap somebody. It is so good. Q. That can’t be the only draw. A. There’s a lot more guys here. There’s nothing but broke actors and models in L.A. So I definitely like my selection of men here. At least the gentlemen here will buy you a drink. In L.A., they do the lean-back. It means they’re not going toward the bill, they’re going away from it.
