the boots are back..
I'm glad I finally decided to check this thread out - it kept rising to the top so I thought I would venture in... and to find this wonderful, wonderful boot of the first unleashed show... Thank you Ninjadave.. and welcome. You arrive to the Ledge bearing a great gift.. and you can be assured that you made this long time fan of this band very happy. Loaded on my ipod and will be listening to it to and from my trip to New York on Thursday. It sounds so amazing.. a keeper!!
and thanks Rhiya for posting the zip files with the .mp3s.. I now have the whole show on my ipod...listening to it through my bose headset.. "Say You Love You Me" - "mmmm..make it make the feeling grow..." poor Stevie. :-) now, back to the boot.

I don't know what type of recorder you used, but this is one of the best boots I've ever heard.. I'm loving every second of it. I also applaud your friend who did the mixing.. I love how the end of "Go Insane" fades out with the audience applause fading in...and the build up to the stop!
One thing I love about boots is the audience particpation and the comments you hear along the way.. like the dude after "I Know I'm Not Wrong" who told his friend that he saw John McVie and younger lady sitting in a booth at a restaurant.. and the guy that yells "Black Magic Woman" as "Tusk" begins.. (let me also say I don't include heavy chatter during songs as cool..) Fleetwood Mac is known for being stingy with live releases - they gave us an edited "Dance" and pretty good "Live in Boston" and the god awful "Live" from 1980. I shouldn't say god awful because there are some great live tracks on that record - just disjointed, non live tracks included, and this album was taken from one of the best tours of the band yet so many terrific live songs were left off - The Chain, Angel, Sisters of the Moon, Save Me a Place, Brown Eyes, Gold Dust Woman... This boot could be released as a live cd and rank as one of the best.. it's that good! Thank you.. for leaving me with something very warm...

Thank you so much for this recording. Everyones right, its the best quality of its kind that I've ever heard. This is the only show I'll be able to make on the tour, and also my first FM show, so I'm really appreciative that I'll be able to enjoy it vicariously through my iPod from now on!! Not many people have the luxury of a bootleg of the first date with their girlfriend, but you made me one of the first. Thanks!!!
Oh, could anyone post the artwork for those of us without the ability to get the torrent files??
