You HAVE to be kidding me. I love all of these. I mean, Edge, NSW, Sorcerer, TISL - they're on my top Stevie songs list. SDMHA - the album version is starting to grate a little but the live versions are incredible. Same goes for WLT - Houston '89 and Whiskey 91 i LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

I did. Well I didn't say I disliked the song. It has grown on me big time but I just never loved it like a lot of people seem to. I do like the live versions of the song a bit more.

It’s on my list of Stevie songs that are fun and upbeat. And as far as her vocals, I find “Seven Wonders” to be one of her strongest vocals ever. There was something very powerful and sexy about Stevie’s vocals during the Tango era, and that is especially evident on the remixes of Big Love and Family Man. Stevie came out of Betty Ford feeling great obviously and it showed in her vocal delivery on Tango. And bite your tongue on the suggestion that fans don’t like “Desert Angel.”

Ok ok, I do know a lot of fans don’t like it, but I will never understand why. The music is beautiful and her vocals on that tracks are some of her most passionate ever.

When Stevie did it in the middle of the set during some shows in 2005, it simply wasn't the same for me; it's definitely a closing song.
we must be soulmates. ITAWTC.

Ah ok, I was thinking it was a Stevie song

At least I got a ITAWTC as opposed to just a IAWTC

You & I are very different, although we probably have 98% genetic material in common. Now, I love the song Edge of Seventeen--I just don't like the track. I guess I could say the same thing about Sorcerer. However, with Whole Lotta Trouble, I hate both the song & the track. As for Houston '89 & Whiskey '91, my plan is to never hear those again.

somebody else mentioned the two klutzburgers from the Best Of CD: Love's a Hard Game to Play & Sometimes It's a Bitch. I forgot to even put those on my list of detested songs & tracks, which is a pretty clear indication of just where I rate them. However, I love all the other stuff.

Yup...see what I mean? Dreams may have been their #1 hit but it just seems like most of the people I come in contact with either know or like Landslide better. I remember when I first started going out with my ex and I was asked him what FM song did he like and he said Landslide. I wanted to test him so asked him if he liked any others and he couldn't really say. So I mentioned I loved Sliver Springs and his like "oh yeah I like that one too."

Thanks for posting that. I've never heard it before (new with demos) and I can honestly say the demo is better than the album version. Maybe if she had of used that I would have liked the song a little more. I just recently starting getting into demos and I am becoming annoyed. Stevie had some wonderful demos that were perfect until they're put on her albums.

well, you have to keep in mind that a lot of it is the producer's fault (fault not being the right word) - she gives/plays them the demo, as good as it sounds to us, they take it and do their thing. or they may have never thought, hey, this demo is fine like it is...you know. I agree that sometimes the demos are better, but that's just one small part of ~*forever*~
