Default on the topic of Stevie being nasally...

I was always looking for an opportunity to bring this up but didn't want to sound critical, haha, so since we're on the topic of Stevie being nasally in her singing...

Has anyone noticed the weird little clickie noises her nasal cavity makes in certain songs? One that REALLY gets me every time is "Destiny Rules" at :27 in (during "supposed")... it reminds me of when I try to speak when I have a really stuffy cold.

She also does it at about 24 seconds in to "Say You Will" -- very slight, but once I heard it, it always irked me.

as someone that speaks and sings very nasally, I know exactly what you're talking about. I don't know how to explain it really, but it all has to do with airflow. Stevie, like me, probably has a deviated septum, which can restrict and/or shift the flow of air and that is probably what causes the "clickie noises" -

Yes,. I think she sounded nasal sometimes. For example I hate that Holly Night video (from the 80s) .. she sounded like Fran Fine!! .. Ok well not that nasal but I didn't like it.

And at the Dance she sounded great!! Just compare the Dance "Silver Springs" with the Boston DVD performance.. She got a far better voice in 1997!!! I fell in love with her again.. ha haaa...

Well.. with her voice.

On the topic of the seldom used high notes... I've got a boot of Rhiannon on The Dance tour where it seems she channeled the 1975 Stevie---"Would you take me to the sky (guy?)? Dream on..." and then she has to back down for the rest.
Sounded like she was pressing a bit, but I was happy she tried.
