Here's Rudy. He passed away 5 years ago, but I still miss him as if he just left an hour ago.

Love that picture. A perfect dog photo or rather Dog Day Afternoon. Rottweilers are one of my favorite breeds, right up there with a Chocolate Lab.

Thanks for your kind words about Rudy. He was a VERY special dog to my wife & me. She'd raised him from a puppy long before we met. I "adopted" him when we got married. (Rudy was 5 years old at that time)

And, here's our current canine roommate, Daisy...a 9 year-old, very beagle-ish beagle that we "inherited" from my mother-in-law when she wasn't able to take care of her for a while...when she healed (my mother-in-law, that is), we refused to give her back (Daisy, that is).

Here, she's giving me the "staredown" and telepathically trying to get me to give her dinner. It worked.

Rott!!! Those are great dogs. I mean, I love all dogs, but those are a favorite of mine. That shot is priceless - he's all comfy drooling sacked out couch dog.

Daisy. Is. So. F-ing. Cute. Her eyes make me laugh, she looks silly.

I hate to sound like such a dumbass, but I see these dogs and I just wanna kiss the tummies. They are all so cute and scream for belly rubs and tummy smooches. For example, RichardB...I could be in LA in about 8 hours.....gahhh, that howling pic...to die for.

It's just such a girle response to wanna kiss the tummy, but they are like lil stuffed animals. Hell, even ChiliD's dog.....the tummy........(btw, I recall you and talking bout your dog on the Leg I think...that dog is friggin gorgeous, and looks down on Daisy's behavior daily FOR SURE!!!!!!)haha. OK, I prolly sound like some sicko.

Black lab drives owner's car into river Fri Jun 22, 11:15 PM ET

SAGLE, Idaho - Bad dog. Charlie the black lab drove his owner's car into the Pend Oreille River. As Mark Ewing walked home Wednesday evening after returning from picking up a pizza, Charlie jumped into the car through an open window, and apparently knocked the vehicle into gear.

"He somehow got the car into neutral," Ewing said. "My car just went boom, down an incline and into the drink."

Ewing could only watch as his Chevy Impala sank into the river. No dummy, Charlie jumped out of the window as the car went downhill.

"There's nothing weirder than looking at your car cruising down your driveway when you're not in it and seeing your dog jump out and then watching your car go splash," Ewing said.

Actually, things got a little weirder when the tow truck driver showed up.

Before the driver dove into the water to hook the car up to his truck, he asked Ewing to hold his dentures.

"My car's in the drink, I've got dentures in my hand and this guy Keith ... goes swimming," Ewing noted.

Oh, he was a beautiful boy, just beautiful. Now he's playing in the heavens with his little friends, all healthy and young.

Her name is Banshee, and she is the light of my life! This is a cell phone pic...but look at that face? And those ears that could take flight. daaagh...she is SO cute!

All Ledgies have cute doggies. I LOVE dogs. I prefer larger breeds but have no room for them. So to be fair....got a smaller dog. I never would have thought to get either a MP or Chi either, but lo and behold they are such good dogs. I have seen other pure MP's and OMFG, they are SO cute. Although, and don't take it wrong, so many are REALLY active. Bansh thankfully is really calm. If she is what they think she shows no usual traits of either breeds. Doesn't bark, quiver, yap, bite people nodda. She's really mellow and after her predicament, that is a shocker. Blessed indeed.

doggie is a bebe! sooo cutie!
