I am glad little Banjo ("Sweet bird, you are") is starting to feel better—I hope both of you get some good rest, and that everything goes well at the vets!

Sheesh. What a rollercoaster. Just gave him his medicine. 2 little tiny syringes. No needles, just oral medication. He got back in his cage all stumbling and weak again, and just sat down and closed his eyes. Damn. He seems just as disoriented as the first night. Maybe I should have taken him in today for the blood test. If he seems strong tomorrow I guess I will. I Don't know what else I can do.

I would take him to the dr as soon as possible...and do your best to keep him comfortable until you do...I know that you are. Probably best to handle him and treat him as you usually would so he doesn't feel too 'different' in some way...that can be stressful. What do the meds say as far as sideeffects or do you know? It is possible they are effecting his orientation...? It probably doesn't feel so good to take meds as that is not his usual practice. I know you are scared and this will again probably be an all-nighter...hang in there.

We both made it through the night. Trying to get back into the vet today.
Banjo is eating and doing normal stuff - as if nothing was wrong last night.
I, on the other hand, look and feel like I got hit by a truck. Hangin in, though.

Poor Banjo I hope you can get into the vet and get some answers soon...my thoughts are still with Banjo...which, by the way, is one of the cutest pet names ever.

BTFL, no one has called me Sparko since Moony dubbed me Sparko Darko. That warms my grinchy heart.

I gave Banjo some beak rubs for everyone.

I did not take him to the vet today. He had a pretty good day, and I found another vet that has been recommended by everyone and their cockatoo, even though he is 40 miles away. The vet I was gonna go to...it's along story. I saw a fill in guy, and she (the regular vet) is back Monday. So, I may start over with another. He has seen lots of Parrotlets, and was recommended by a local Parrotlet breeder as well. The little guy does not seem to be in a crisis. He is only bad at night, so I think another night will be okay. I really don't think the Cipro is working for him. The blood test just freaks me out - it's the kind of thing he may not live through. But then again, since he is sick every night, he clearly might not live through that either. Either way, it is good to see him so lively, climbing around, eating, and acting pretty normal. And everyone's good wishes sure help too.

More to come.
