He should prob. still see a vet to make sure there aren't any injuries that aren't apparent from the outside, though it seems doubtful that he has anything really serious going on if his appetite is normal. Has he vomited at all since you brought him inside?

Give me a call if you need any assistance.
no vomiting that I've seen, and he's eating dry cat food like normal...still no temp and no swelling and no bleeding and now, no teeth. nothing in the socket for the vet to pull........no injuries, believe me, Ive been all over his head/body loving on him, and he's just normal, except he's now missing two teeth his ears are cool, his nose is wet, he makes bread in my blanket, he squeaks at me, all is well otherwise....I called the vet yesterday to find out how much an office call would be in case he was worse, but really? I think he's going to be ok......Im still keeping an eye on him tho to be sure.

And Vicky, you have no idea how much your help/support mean to me. Under that "grouchy" exterior lurks a heart of GOLD

Yes, very unfortunate and he has his tail between his legs eating humble pie. And will be of course fixing the error of his ways...

Thanks for the nice words about the clip...

cheers,

I am glad the kitty is ok.

I am always broke too and my cat one day ( he's only 1) wouldn't move..eat...nothing. I was so upset I just took him to the er vet 45 minutes away. Turned out he had a 105 fever. 235 dollars. I had to spend my rent money.

It's very hard to have animals if they are sick...but I still have them--so I know your pain.

But next time...just call-tell them ahead of time. No real vet will let an animal die over money...they can make arrangements. They have for my mom many times.

Another thing...maybe keep the cat in until everything clears? My cat BooBoo ( rip) was an outdoor cat from 1985 until 1998 when dogs got to her. We thought she was going to die-but it turned out she only had torn ligaments and she stayed inside the bathroom for a week and turned out very healthy. The rest of her life ( 1998-2005) she was an indoor cat. She would meow her head off but I think keeping her in prolonged her life and after awhile..she got used to it. My cats now do NOT go outside.

But I know that's hard to do...I mean my cat would just scream at the door at first...everyday you wanted to give in and just let her out.

You are a good mommy and I hope your beautiful kitty is ok

Thanks Jason your support has meant a lot to me too
In fact, ALL of you have really pulled me thru this difficult time. My kitty seems to be fine, just minus two teeth but no fevers, he's eating and drinking and pooping and doing all the normal stuff, so I guess the worst is passed.
Thanks again everyone for giving a damn
