What a cool thread!

I am a sound producer for multimedia. Right now, I direct/record voice overs, perform voice overs, edit sound, and provide animation foley, for an educational software company. There probably isn't much call for information about multidmedia sound in this group, but I do know something about sound formats, editing applications, foley and sound effects. From my work with this company, I also know a little about language acquisition delays, reading standards and reading programs, and brain plasiticity.

I was living up the hill at Lake Arrowhead with my aunt, before school started--so I wasnt TOO far from Big Bear.

Cooool! I did quite a bit of sound editing with ProTools and some foley using a digital SSL board when I was in school. I enjoyed it, but it's extremely difficult to find work in the field. I was willing to clean the toilets at the one studio I would've like to work at (I admit thats selling myself short)...and I just couldnt get a job anywhere here in Orlando. I gave up after a year or so, and I've been doing home theater installations for the last 2 years.
