I liked both. His recent movies have become too slight for my taste, though (Dr. T and the Women, The Gingerbread Man, Kansas City, etc.). He's wildly uneven, but when he's good, he's really good.

OMG - I have a Loro Piana cashmere overcoat that I want to wear inside out while naked

Here is a site on Loro Piana:

Needless to say, I wait until it goes to the bargain basement

BRILLIANT

Sandy Dennis was, perhaps the best player in that, but they were all really good!!!!!!!

I'll take any of those models naked....

I never really got into Robert Altman's stuff.

You gotta try the raz marg, you won't regret it! Oh I want one now! Hehe.
Yes, this conversation is definitely making me want to go home right now and have a frozen margarita of some sort! In fact, work is dead today. I'm in the Dallas area, which will only feel minor effects of the storm. But everyone is using the hurricane as an excuse to leave early today. So I think I'll take off as well and have that margarita!

I want to know when the hell it's going to be on DVD. Criterion could do a kick-ass job with it like they've done for every other Altman release. It's a brilliant movie. I *loved* Dennis, but I thought Karen Black was equally as good. Cher wasn't too shabby herself and it's a hoot watching early Kathy Bates.

That's one of those long lost movies that needs the DVD treatment. That and "In the Spirit" with Elaine May and Marlo Thomas; I'd do a jig for both of those.

You should give "3 Women" a try, it's unlike anything he's ever done. Very disturbing and sinister. Shelley Duvall and Sissy Spacek are fantastic in it.
