Moonstruck
UHF
Edward Scissorhands
Napoleon Dynamite
Amadeus

Ani DiFranco's Render
The Dance
Tango in the Night

Stevie's Live at the Red Rocks
Carly Simon Live at Martha's Vineyard

A lot of my DVDs aren't for movies, either, as you can see.

1. Blackadder- The Complete Collector's Set (If you don't want to buy the big expensive set, then just get the second disc by itself, you can't go wrong!)

2. Gladiator (I actually bought this movie three times. First on vhs 'cause I didn't have a dvd player, then I bought the dvd when I got a player, and now they've released an extended version which I had to have as well.)

3. Quills (Even full frontal Geoffrey Rush can't overshadow the gorgeousness of Joaquin Phoenix and Kate Winslet. The acting is really good all around and is a very entertaining movie with lots of dark humor. Don't expect a history lesson though, it's a movie with the Marquis de Sade as a main character, but is not a bio-pic and shouldn't be taken as fact.)

4. The Big Lebowski (OMFG this movie is hilarious!!!!)

5. Clay Pigeons (Did I mention I'm totally in love with Joaquin Phoenix? Oh and Vince Vaughn is great too.)

6. Fight Club (Great movie. Lots of dark humor. And omg is Brad Pitt ripped in this one!)

7. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (I hate Jim Carrey but this one is a must see. Oh yeah... and Kate Winslet's in it too.)

8. Brotherhood of the Wolf (This one is actually a French horror/martial arts film. Normally I hate foreign films, I hate horror films, and I hate martial arts films but this one was spectacular. Just be sure to go to the languages menu and adjust it to French with English subtitles, otherwise the horrible English language dubbing will drive you crazy.)

9. Catch Me If You Can (Just a very fun movie.)

10. Bubba Ho-Tep (This one is bizarre but hilarious. It's set in a retirement home and is about an aging Elvis impersonator who believes he really is Elvis. His best friend is a wheelchair-bound black man who believes that he is JFK. When the other occupants of the retirement home begin to fall prey to a soul-sucking Egyptian mummy in cowboy duds, they team up to take Bubba Ho-Tep down! )

I have to fantasize here. I'd like ALL my Fleetwood Mac and Stevie VCR Tapes (everything from Red Rocks to Mick's Wedding!...the only Holy Grail for me is that infamous "pie fight"!!) on DVD so I can watch them on my little TV in my bedroom. That's where my DVD player lives.

3)Clerks X (10th anniversary edition)
4)South Park-The Movie (Widescreen only)
5)Kung Pow-Enter the Fist (Again, Widescreen only)
6)Inu Yasha (Anime-The first season)
7)Van Halen-Live Without a Net (Great concert even though the transfer from analog to digital is porr at best)
8)Full Metal Alchemist (Anime-Volume 1-4)
9)Hellboy (3 disc Limited edition w/sculptured busty of Hellboy...A great buy for only $24.99)
10)Witch Hunter Robin (Anime-Complete series)

Ugh, I can't do a top 10. I've seen way too many DVDs over the years but the following I think every movie buff should have in their collection. They are not necessarilymy favourite movies, but they are just great DVDs.

Led Zeppelin DVD - simply one of the best music DVDs ever, featuring several concerts, rare performances, interviews everything!

Star Wars - all the Star Wars DVDs are lovingly put together, the original trilogy is the best to own, but Episodes I and II are bursting with cool extras.

Almost Famous Bootleg Edition - An extended cut of an already fantastic film and great extras.

Lord Of The Rings Extended Editions - if you want a class in how to make a big budget blockbuster then everything, and I mean everything is included here! Probably the most comprehensive DVDs ever.

This Is Spinal Tap - lots of deleted scenes AND music videos too.

Fight Club - there's a top-notch commentary with Fincher and the cast, multiple angle stuff, deleted scenes, featurettes. Just a really well put-together DVD.

Alien Quadrilogy - nine discs and more than 40 hours of bonus material.

Rushmore/Royal Tenenbaums Criterion Editions - you need to see the DVDs to see just how much detail goes into Anderson's films. The art galleries alone are wonderful.

Citizen Kane/Gone With The Wind - these are two of the best classics on DVD, not just because of the quality of the films, but because of the extras on the DVDs.

Jaws 30th Anniversary Edition - the two-hour documentary on the making of the film is superb.

The Godfather box set - you need to buy the box set to get the excellent bonus disc of extras.

Any Pixar film - Finding Nemo/Toy Story/Monsters Inc etc...

Oh and tonnes more, I could go on but I'm starting to bore myself!

Great one. And it has Cameron Crowe's original Fleetwood Mac article from Rolling Stone and a CD of Nancy Wilson's songs for the movie.

I've had this for two years and still haven't watched all of the stuff on them. I think I only watched all of the extras for Alien 3; it's fascinating to watch the making of a mess. And as a boxed set it rocks because it has two versions of each movie.

Is that an official release? If so what's it called? The only released one I have is the Song Remains the Same.
