No one's speculating, simply talking about what Stevie may be feeling or doing to cope. Everyone is getting their panties in a wad in every damn post these days. Sheesh.

I can see how someone MAY take some of the comments within this thread and run with them, but they've all offered clarification to show that they are not being disrespectful or not being sympathetic. What should we discuss? Maybe there should be a list of approved post topics...(this is a joke)

If you don't like the banter going on within a thread, don't participate, but I really really don't think this thread is or even hints at disrespect. My 2 cents.

no hard feelings and no reason to call the Po Po, but this one struck a nerve

You got me to reconsider my post. Yeah, what I wrote was unnecessary. Thanks for putting in your two cents so that I could take a second look.

I don't know, her mom is elderly and looks a bit frail. If I had to guess, Stevie will probably stay by her mom's side for quite awhile now. She might do another Vegas show or something like that, but I have a feeling there won't be any more solo albums or major projects.

It kills me to write this, but I truly believe it, and I also truly hope I'll be proved wrong.

Stevie is a very strong woman. She will take some time off but she will be back with or without Fleetwood Mac.

Just my opinion........but I wouldn't think she would make the 2 voices tour a farewell....... why would she do a farewell with Don?? And also--wasn't the Gold Dust Tour unplanned?? So why would everyone think this was a way to end her solo career??? I don't know...... I'm thinking if this was the end it would have been a little more planned perhaps........ who knows though--only time will tell I guess......... I think the only reason she hesitated on the new solo album question is because she knew her fathers health was failing....... I hope this isn't the end of her career but I totally respect whatever Stevie decides

[QUOTE=Glittermoondust]Just my opinion........but I wouldn't think she would

I can't resist jumping into the frey here -

Has Stevie said one word -

one word -

about retiring???

Remember the very recent "Rocket-Powered Wheelchair"

comment?

Remember the several half-joking comments about the rocking chair

and chiffon?

Remember the comment Mick made about "I think she'll be doing this

for donkey's years!" ? ? ? . . .

Remember who we're talking about?

Stevie freaking Nicks?

She has a LOT to say, still, and she knows that.

So chill - no?

and I don't sleep -

not even in my dreams."

nope.......and I guess that was kind of what I was trying to say...... I was just responding to what everyone else keeps saying....... but we will not know for sure until something happens...... quite frankly I'm tired of reading about it and will probably bypass this thread from now on I just think her anwer to the question about the solo CD was her way of saying its not going to happen tomorrow and her way of not having to mention about her father....... and if this was her last tour then I think she would have hyped it up more and made it known...... don't you all think she would have sold more tickets if everyone KNEW this was her last tour?? Having an unplanned tour be your last tour just doesn't make sense to me......and I'm NOT agreeing that this was her last tour--just responding to what others think........ chill??? Naw--I prefer it warm myself

Well, i'm glad to see starting this thread really got everyone to share all of their thoughts and opinions on what Stevie has planned for the future. As i said earlier, we all just have to wait for a note on Stevie's website or an announcement of some form, coming directly from her to see what her next move will be in her life.

I don't know.

I didn't bother to read what you wrote ( no offense ).

But whoever you are,

you picked up several billion brownie points with me, at least,

for posting that quote by Courtney Love.

Way to go, and to C.L.

Who knew!? . . .

But this last tour was not intended to be solely HER tour anyway - it was supposed to be a double bill - Henley and Nicks - every one of those dates - until Don backed out. Except AHI and Vegas.

At this time, Stevie's family, friends, and fans look up to her to stay strong and not give up her dream. Does anyone (besides me) think that this tragedy could re-open the door for Stevie to release another solo album, and have it dedicated to her father, and the impact he has had on her life?
She will no doubt be inspired to write about this ..it is inevitable!
Who knows..she may even record Circle Dance. Her best & most inspired songs have come from deep sorrow and tragedy..she has said so many times.

It's only over..when STEVIE SAYS.."It's over"
This was in no way her goodbye tour. Don Henley DID NOT back out of Two Voices..he had limited availability based on his committments to the Eagles Tour. I predict another Fleetwood Mac album will be next and a tour. It took her 7 years to get Trouble In Shangri-La finished. It went through many producers and different incarnations until she felt good about releasing it. I think that would be a daunting task to take on at this time in her life. A new Fleetwood Mac project would be less pressure and more support from the band.
