I'm suprised at how "sugary/carby" most people's breakfasts are. Just saying...
I can't really eat cereal in the morning, it makes me sluggish, or if sugary, downright nappish.
Unless it's like, 30/40/30 or something. A very high protein kind.
I like to have protein for breakfast.

I think morning is the best time for sugars and carbs. Kick starts the body and much easier to burn off than for an evening meal..

I had a nutri-grain type bar for breakfast.. Apple and Blackcurrant flavour. Plus a glass of OJ.

problem is, you don't get much lasting energy from them. Goes right through your system, probably spiking your insulin along the way.
Anyways, no, I'm not a morning person.

Today's 5 AM Breakfast:

-1 Sobe Adrenalin energy drink
-A few cigarettes.

I cannot possible eat before 3 PM. There is simply no way. I never 'eat' anything for breakfast, and I rarely eat lunch.

The problem with the pizza & pop breakfast occurs if that becomes your daily morning meal.

Every so often . . . hell, who cares! Enjoy yourself! But do it every day, & you may be sorry by the time you hit middle-age, or even before.

I get more tired and HUNGRY if I eat something proteiny and not cereal

I don't know why - but Frosted Mini-Spooners are perfect. I've tried more protein - I get SO hungry like half an hour later

I love eggs, & eggs & soy milk are probably the only sources of a lot of protein that I care to eat for breakfast. All my other beloved sources of protein (fish, chicken, tofu, beans, more fish) just don't appeal to me for breakfast -- unless it's one of those late-morning brunch buffets at the Hyatt.

So I do tend to go carb-heavy in the morning: huge amounts of fruit as well as an occasional breakfast of whole-wheat pancakes (Kodiak cakes) or Cream of Wheat.

This is interesting. What form does your breakfast protein take?

What if you were to eat a large three- or four-egg omelet with cheddar cheese? Would you still be hungry 30 minutes later?

Gross - I'd probably be sick!!!

Anyway - when I've tried protein it's usually eggs. I can't handle meat in the morning - and all the fat ugh - cereal is totally what I enjoy in the morning and it gives me a nice boost into the day - I don't eat a whole box or anything - just the recomended serving - so I don't think that's bad.

I need my morning carbs!!

i, too, would ask what your protein is, but also fiber is very filling, and more slowly digested, too. If those mini spooners are what I think they are, they're pretty fibrous. For protein in the morning, I can easily eat one of those mozerella string cheese thingies. Not to flavory, or gross, but filling and proteinacious none the less....

Well, not "ON" the corner "on the corner", but in the shopping center where Staple's is...tucked back in the elbow of the strip mall between the vacuum repair shop & the boating supplies store. "Beverages & More" is at one end, as well. Yeah, Zena's Lebanese is across the parking lot.

The Trader Joe's/Sav-On is across Meats from there.
